The end!

I have decided to end the Dungeon Delver Patreon tier for the foreseeable future. Huge gratitude to my top-tier patrons, some of whom have been with me at that tier since I started this Patreon 5-6 years ago! Thank you for joining me on this little interactive storytelling experiment, I've enjoyed watching you trek through this dungeon month-to-month together for the past 2 years.

I've enjoyed reading this fun and horrifying dungeon run! That was an appropriate, though surprising ending. I'm curious about the eyeball. What was the secret/solution?

Oh. So there were 4 statues in the room, and four bowls of differently colored eyeballs. The pillar in the center had sockets for the eyeballs. They needed to find items that were missing from the statues to figure out which color went with which statue (ie, red shield for the Orc). Then from there, they had to put a number of eyes into the pillar equal to the number of eyes on the statue. So the Orc had an eye patch, so 1 red eye. The mage would have been 2 green eyes, and the Elf 4 blue eyes (2 eyes for him, 2 for his falcon) and the goblin was 10 brown eyes (2 for the goblin, 8 for the spider he was holding). They were on track for it, but at some point someone saw something in the art they thought was the cloak for the mage, and decided it was blue, but nobody actually had their characters check for confirmation. So they put the wrong number of eyes into the pillar, triggering the trap.

What would have happened had we got it right?
