LoL, love it. I would hate to get in the way of a good therapy session, but what about the studies done on the zipper merge? I believe they suggest that merging ahead of time is actually detrimental for the flow of traffic. Has literally nothing to do with this because you don't "zipper merge" onto congested exit offramps. Zipper merge theory only applies to two ongoing lanes of traffic merging down into one ongoing lane of traffic.
