Hate speech is illegal in many countries, so Valve could be mandated by law to remove some games and that might be what Valve expects with this stance. I.e. let the courts / law makers actually decide what can be sold through it's store. Same as in other Internet mediums where people can express themselves without moderation...

I was thinking the same. As Tim said it's a slippery slope when a company or (I would add) even a government starts to get involved with these things. As a Christ follower I've seen the government get involved in the wrong way quite a few times and I'm not talking Roe Vs Wade. Church's have been forced to remove religious symbols from 'public' area's (on their own property). People are prosecuted for praying in school but then it's OK if you aren't a Christian (and I'm sure some area's, especially in the Bible belt, are the exact opposite which is still wrong). I want the government and corporations to take responsibility but they can be (and often are) just as bad if not worst than just leaving it up to the public to do the right thing. (Just in case if someone finds this post 'hateful' I'd strongly recommend some research and self reflection on the term).
