Kinda agree with Lucas except the publishers don't get my pre order deposit. Also I can get my deposit back if I change my mind.

Unless it's on Steam, in which case good luck getting a refund on a pre-order. Especially with how many go into EA instead nowaday, and how many devs abuse the hell out of the concept of EA (like releasing *paid* DLC in the middle of it, *coughcough*).
