Poll is back, finally. Sorry for the delay on this, but I am back with some ideas for the next couple months. Included here are also a bunch of sample and work in progress things for people to check out and see if/what they're interested in it me pursing. Remember to vote for any and all projects you're interested in me doing.

Hench - Spine Animation Test
I've had the lingering thoughts of a (lewd) Sam & Max style game for a while. One that's a toony, goofy, point and click adventure game with some SMS style scenes or elements. I never really had a hard plot or theme until recently, which is where Hench comes in. You would play as a super villain with your henchman Hench, and you eventually do lewd things to heroes. I can't do a whole game like that in a month, however I would like to test out Spine. The short version pitch for Spine is a rigging software for 2D images and sprites. The same way 3D models use skeletons to animate, Spine allows that for 2D images. Recently Gamemaker finally updated to support Spine 4.0 so I'd like to take a month and test it out, see how well the animation process is, and try importing it into Gamemaker and see what is possible.
Sexy Mad Science, I had to make my own very crude rigging system which essentially just used trig and some hardcoding to cheat a skeleton like system. That made it very inflexible and just kind of bad. But what it let me do was select and check specific points mid animation. I don't know how much Spine will allow me to do that. So that's part of what this month would be testing and experimenting with.
If this went well it would mean I could pursue another SMS style game, but have additional characters, and more complex animations, and generally more flexibility. This is something I'd pursue in pieces, each month that I work towards it would have a specific goal and objective to finish, etc. but all that hinges on Spine doing what I need and I'd need to test and learn the program first.

Legend of Zelda II Like (ZII.zp)
A while back I started work on a Legend of Zelda II inspired game. Zelda II has always been a game that I found really interesting, but it's one of those almost unplayable NES games because it's poorly executed but had some good ideas that I've always liked. This was my attempt to start putting something together for it. It's made for controller first, though you can use mouse and keyboard. WASD to move, QE to dodge, Mouse Left and Mouse Right to attack and Space to jump.
If I worked on this for the month, it would be polishing up some of the movement to get it feeling a little less stiff, then I'd start constructing the actual overworld and get some extra enemies, and flesh out the ones that I already have. Specifically fixing the Boar, and tweaking the Warlock.

Dobu & Imai Animation (dobu_imai.mp4)
This one is self explanatory, I keep working on this Dobu and Imai animation to get it cleaned up.

Age of Awakening Animatic (AoA_Animatic.mp4)
There was a particularly funny moment that happened in my D&D game a while back and I think it'd be fun to do a bit of an animatic for it. This is a very small, very minimalist rough draft of what I'd like to do and is only a small portion of the full clip, which I probably can't do the whole thing because it's lik 6 minutes but I'd like to do some of the particularly funny and charming parts.

D&D Homebrew Content
For those who follow all my exceptionally nerdy content, I do D&D and I mention it way too much. But, for those interested I'm trying to run a low magic campaign with some low magic rules. This is just a sample of some tweaks to spells and such, I doubt this will get a ton of interest, but for those that are this goes through Cantrips and spell levels 1-5 and just makes some adjustments. They're intended to be used in conjunction with the DMG gritty regen optional rules, and with the additional rule that a player's spellcasting level can't exceed half their total level (rounded up).

Rule 34 Month
This one is kinda what is says on the tin. I'll just do some more Rule 34 art, maybe jump back to more pokemon stuff, have a few other ideas as well and still have that huge list from a while back.

The Zelda II Like is neat. Cute boar enemies. Some solid mechanics too. I'll have to go with Hench though. I like that design!

Thanks a bunch! You should be able to vote for multiple things if you want. Anything that seems popular I'll throw on future polls if it doesn't get worked on this month =)
