My renders have been ether crashing a lot, or having issues where the lighting or materials change, without reason.

But I think I may have figured out why, it is possible the reason may just be a lack of cooling, there is only so much a fan can do on a hot day, and next month is going to be worse!

So I have a plan, next month, I will be making a character, if I am lucky, it may even be a commission, as I could use the money.

But if not, I will but up a vote.

This way, I can avoid doing intense renders during the hottest month of the year.

I don't want to fry my render computer after all.

Thanks for all the support, I'll make this render happen, don't worry.

I do not think it's about cooling. It it were the problem, the computer get shot down. Did you look to logs for heat? Fur or wings could create so many lighting calculations which is overwhelming for the program. Maybe it uses your hdd but there is not enough free space.

I assume my cpu can thermal throttle, but I'm not too sure, I'll try running HWMonitor during the next render, and keep an eye on it. But I don't think the Harddrive is starved for space. But the lack of shutdown is a good point, so maybe the heat is not the problem. Will find out soon enough.
