HF Patch for KK v3.3 (mods up to 2020/07/27) (Patreon)

An unofficial patch for KK and KKP that installs the latest fan-made English translations and essential mods. It also fixes many common issues with the game.

It will allow you to load all character cards and scenes and give you countless content creation and gameplay improvements while still keeping the original, uncluttered feel of the game. All content is tested and fixed (or removed) as needed before each update, providing a stable platform for further modding.

Koikatsu can be split into two parts: character and scene creation tools (character maker and Studio), and an adventure game with story mode (it can use your custom characters, but not scenes). You can see preview videos of the game and some of the mods here. 

HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game and expansions separately.

The base game (Koikatu / Koikatsu Party), and by extension this patch are not suitable for minors. If you are under 18 years old you can not use this patch. The base game and this patch contain only characters of age 18 or higher. The creator of this patch is not responsible for creations of its users and prohibits any unlawful use of this software.

This download contains the entire HF Patch and can be used offline. You can use qBittorrent or a similar torrent client to open the magnet link.

Read before installing

Before installing check this installation guide and FAQ.

If you need any help check the wiki first, and if that doesn't help then ask in the #help channel of the Koikatsu Discord server. The #help channel is the fastest way to get help, you can even search it for your issue to see if someone already answered it. There are also chat and card sharing channels on the server!

To keep the download size reasonable, some rarely used and very old content mods are not included. If you have trouble loading characters or scenes, you can download the missing mods by clicking on the Update button in the game's launcher.

Solutions to common issues

  • If after installing the patch you have issues running the game, restart your PC and try to install the patch again with default settings.
  • If after installing the patch Studio hangs when loading, start KKManager (it's in a folder in game directory) and click "Look for updates" at the top, then tell it to update the Studio modpack.
  • If you have trouble downloading by using the magnet link, or if your downloads always end up corrupted, try using the latest version of qBittorrent (it's known to work well).
  • Make sure you downloaded ALL parts to the same folder and that the parts all have their original names. You need ALL parts for the patch to work. If the installer asks you for another disc it means that your download was not extracted correctly and is missing files, or you renamed or removed some of the downloaded files. 
  • If you see any messages about corrupted files you'll have to re-download the offending parts.  Use the "Force recheck" function in your torrent client to do this automatically.
  • If your antivirus is flagging the .exe file make sure that you've downloaded the patch by following links in this post. If you are sure the download came from the right place, it's most likely a false positive (it's a common issue with non-signed application installers).

Patcher changes

  • There are no IPA plugins in the patch anymore, and IPALoaderX is now optional (if you need to run IPA plugins, make sure to check it in the mod list)
  • KKManager is now mandatory to install
  • No longer keep version history in launcher (overwrite with only the latest HF Patch version)
  • Added the scripts directory to the pre-install backup (the backup is saved in a .zip file inside game directory)

  • BepInEx.EnableResize v1.5 (Allows resizing the game window, can mess with the UI, turn on in plugin settings)
  • BepInEx.MuteInBackground v1.1 (Mute the game when it's not in focus, turn on in plugin settings)

Creating an anime-style picture in Koikatsu - Kiss

Creating custom characters and posing them in 3D scenes is arguably the main draw of Koikatsu. It's much easier (and faster) than using a full 3D editor thanks to the simple UI and vast amount of available content. There are countless characters and artworks being made in Koikatsu every day. Many of them are posted on the Koikatsu Discord server here https://discord.gg/hevygx6 This video uses the KK SFW (safe for work) plugin that disables all NSFW aspects of the game (great when you want to stream the game or only make SFW scenes). The modding community for this game is very active and has greatly improved the game's content creation tools. This sounds like kplug features. kplug is not included in the patch and at the moment there aren't any alternative plugins ready for these features.

hi...first i like what you do ...but I have some Questions: 1. Is it possible to set the skinoverlays (body/face) for all charas whithout to fix it chara for chara ....also with Body Size or so ... like the Uniform Mod ? 2. Lot of h scene animations in the Studio are not in the Main Game ... is it possible to use the animations in the Game ? 3. Can I translate the h scene conversation by myself so that it us it for the game ... i know there are auto-translation tools ..but is it possible ..?

1 - Technically it's possible but there are no plugins that do this. It would be fairly easy to code something that applies an overlay to everyone but it would require some programming, or you could make a zipmod with your custom body style which is even easier. 2 - Make sure you have all h animations unlocked in the game, all animations in studio are from the game. 3 - Yes, that's how we translate the game https://github.com/bbepis/XUnity.AutoTranslator#manual-translations If you want to help translate the game then visit the koikatsu discord server and check the translation channels for help and to coordinate.

Is technically possible to swap positions in H scenes ? (like in Studio, where you can use any animation pose regardless of gender of the actor). I mean : main character in the girl position, and the girl can be a futa or a male (thanks to uncensor select).

At the moment no, if you add an overlay to a character then it will always be stored in that character card.

Hi Marco i have a problem with the torrent links i downloaded a torrent client and tried the link it shows up in the torrent client but the link has nothing in it. In other words nothing is downloading if you know why pls reply as soon as you can.

I have installed the new HF patch and during the installation I activated that all poses in H scenes are unlocked. But since the installation there are no more seat poses in the game. What can be the reason for this?

Press the Pause key to open the trainer and click unlock all h positions in the window on the left, then start free h to test. Make sure the H points you try support these positions.

If you installed special patch after HF Patch then you have to reinstall HF Patch to fix your game.

Go to settings and see if you can see the Plugin settings button at top right. If not then no mods are loading. Try to restart the game and run the game as administrator (if this works then you need to fix file permissions of game folder). If all fails, post your output_log.txt file from game directory in #help channel on the discord server or PM it to me.

Hello, I just installed the latest patch. I have an issue with auto-translation. In Patch 3.2, Traditional Chinese dialogue works fine, but now they've turned into google-tier translation after I download HPv33. What should I do to stop the auto-translation?

Nevermind, problem solved. Just don't install the auto-translator during installation, and we can get rid of the haunting dialogue.

I did. In v3.2 I didn't encounter any auto-translation issue but in v3.3 it popped out. hmm... maybe I forgot that I didn't install auto translator in v3.2. The game works fine now. Thanks for your reply.

HF3.2 has issues with Traditional Chinese. If you have KK Party then verify local files on steam, check for updates, and then reinstall HF3.3.
