Hey everyone.

Here is an unboxing and fix I recently worked.  It wasn't as good as last months purchase, but it will do.

Thanks!

Am I a CRT Hoarder? Buying MORE Cheap PVM CRTs on eBay & Fixing Them

Am I a CRT Hoarder? Today I will address this accusation and unbox my latest PVM purchase. This is a Sony PVM 8042Q CRT Trinitron Monitor that I purchased off of eBay. The seller sold this to me for a total of $69 shipped. It was advertised as not-working. This time it actually is not working. Think we can get it powered on again? Super cool. Steve, I've noticed that the BVM A-series advertise 4:4:4 color vs 4:2:2 for the D series. Does this have any impact on image quality, in particular for retro gaming?

I'm not certain, but It might be better. I will have to test this out after I move and after I get to test the BKM 68x Clone Card
