Hey everyone! Since Sam Raimi has a new movie coming out soon, we've been thinking about his first superhero movie (that isn't really a superhero movie): Darkman! So Rich and Jay just shot a re:View for it. Coming soon!

Hell no. They mentioned in another video they had 0 interest in it

Yeah figured they just hadn't bothered even seeing it. Maybe it'll get mentioned if they're going to be discussing Sam Raimi's Spidey movies. And I just watched Darkman tonight for the first time in YEARS and I forgot just how 'wacky' it is. I'm now also more interested AND worried about what Marvel will 'let' Sam do with Dr. Strange. I hadn't remembered all of the weird visual effects they used to demonstrate the Doctor's descent into 'madness' due to the accident/treatment, and can only IMAGINE what kind of crazy things Raimi could realize with modern CGI AND a MCU Blockbuster BUDGET! However I also worry about how much control Marvel will allow him, and if they'll 'restrain' Sam's style to fit the 'Marvel Mold'...

Hey man I usually like to see the films they are going to re:view ahead of time, would you recommend dark man? I love Sam raimi and Liam neeson

DUDE! Me and my Darkman action figure will be watching this together <3

When did that come out? And was it released under another name? All I can find for 'The Dissolving Man' is an animated short from 2017, and Darkman came out in 1990.

Absoutely! And compared to modern MCU films, Darkman just seemed to FLY BY! I couldn't believe when I paused it to take a leak and realized the movie was already half over! They set up the premise, present the concept, and then it's directly to the finale! No extraneous tangents, no 'multiple endings', just a tight fun flick! I miss when the majority of movies were 90 minutes unless it was some 'epic' drama. Now every SUPERHERO movie seems to be at LEAST 120 minutes, and more often 2.5+ hours! I mean, they could have 'padded' it with an extra 30 minutes of him producing all his masks etc. But I think it was just as effective simply showing a 5 second shot of the closet full of faces... And I completely didn't recognize Frances McDormand as the 'girlfriend'!

I will find out what streaming service it’s on and watch it tonight!

Does it looks like Liam Neeson, or Bruce Campbell?!?! Or just a generic dude in an overcoat wearing 'the hat'?

Can we get a reaction video of Rich watching Will Smith slap Chris Rock please.

Anonymous

I wonder if they don't KNOW when the new videos will be ready for posting, or if they just DON'T TELL? :)

And also a reaction to Will Smith winning an Oscar after slapping Chris Rock

It's got interchangeable heads and hands, but it's Burned Liam Neeson. Mine is Mint In Box, but, dang it, now I want to take it out and play with it! https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/now-playing-darkman-action-figure-not-mint/nmpfnp002

More like "upcoming prophecies for 2031" at this point.

I watched "Darkman" last night for the first time in about 30 years. Wow! It reminded me of how much I used to love Sam Raimi movies. "Evil Dead 2", "Darkman", "Army of Darkness", "The Quick and the Dead", and then "A Simple Plan" - it was really a great run until he turned more Hollywood with that baseball movie, with him only making a slight return to form with "Drag Me To Hell" ever since.
