Best of the Worst: Plinketto #9

After over a year-long hiatus, the Plinketto board is back to bore and disappoint as always! This time, the gang lands on a different genre for every drop of the ball. It's a Christmas miracle!!!

Made my night!

Jack is back, Jack!

I hope they don't DROP THE BALL this time around... (drop the ball joke count: 1)

AshesBoomstick

Whelp, it's 11:30, time for bed - oh, no it isn't!

Rules are meant to be broken in the BotW Universe

Neil Peart, Lord of Drums

I'm only 1:30 in, but I just want to say how happy it makes me to see the Wakaliwood guys and all the attention they've received over the last few years. Just...good for them. They're awesome and they deserve all the recognition. I don't care whether their films are good or bad. They've made the best of a suboptimal situation and brought their passion for movies to life, and they deserve kudos for that alone!

Anonymous

I've been having a tough week. Seeing a new BOTW available has lifted my spirits like nothing else can. Thank you RLM!

Anonymous

Coffee Time and BOTW, ffffffuck yeah.

Conor

*looks at gun* Not today old friend, not today

Anonymous

AHHHH YES!!

New lighting looks great!

Stranger2Reality

Is it wrong I was hoping you'd do Howling II: ... Your Sister is a Werewolf?

Anonymous

Did the crew get new cameras? Or did they just use different settings and framing?

Anonymous

Awesome!

I can't believe that people are complaining about Rich's voice. Rich, you know, of Ellen show fame, has the voice of an angel goddammit. You know, when I just put Youtube on auto-play, drift off to sleep and will mostly likely be woken up by Rich's laugh because the algorithm always makes me converge towards Best of the Worst, even there I never complain. You don't complain when facing perfection. In all seriousness, Rich's laugh has been in my life for the better part of a decade now so if anything it is soothing in these troubled times.

Omg this Spacejacked film is shot in Ireland at Cormans production studio in Galway that they talked about in the documentary "It Came From Connemara" about his starting Irish film B-Movie industry. Doc is well worth a watch, Corbin Bernsen talks about his time working on the film and everything, among other crap made by fully Irish crew!

Even if you guys never review Captain Alex, it's nice to see you guys mention it. The Suckling is super messed up. Great ep! Thanks guys.

Marvin Falz

I kinda wish Rich Evans would make me a better movie, but it's cold in space, and I already ate. So I guess I'm happy at the moment. Tomorrow is another day to be made into a better movie. Sometimes the fish do fly at night. Thank you, and good night! :)

Jack is back! Let's never fight like this ever again.

I think the toxic waste was there as Chemical Hazard Urban Disposal

The new lights look awesome. There is a dark warmness that pleases my soul.

Anonymous

Those new lights give the set a nice, dramatic feel.

Anonymous

Everybody, RLM is blatantly ripping off Marvel with a post-credit scene. Also, it's amazing how they got Samuel L. Jackson to appear, if only briefly.

Anonymous

Really cool and the new lighting looks super nice. Was sad not to hear the classic Edd Kalehoff Price is Right cues for the Plinketto ball drops, but I'd imagine they might get content matched and screw with monetization.

I was on a BOTW marathon this weekend and sure enough, the hack frauds drop a new BOTW to cap this marathon. I don't have an eye for production like the boys do, but the new lights add something. At first I thought RLM upgraded the HD cameras or the fact I watched the first part of the video on my 4k TV, but as Rhys said, it feels like a "Dark Warmness". Rich Evans is a cherub of a man, so those complaining about his laugh I just shrug my shoulders. I think the laugh is just another thing that adds to the legend that is Rich Evans. Still watching, but looks like another great one from the hack frauds. Thanks for the work you put in for BOTW, fellas.

Anonymous

Same! In the middle of three work conferences. I just want to do nothing this weekend and watch BOTW. Cleanses the soul.

Anonymous

This was great, thanks guys.

Honestly made my day that this came out. Can’t wait to watch. Also, I have the same shirt as Jack and I’m not sure how to feel about that!

vertigo3

Great episode!

Ian Stewart

No deathstalker? I’m furious!

Anonymous

Clearly these fellas haven't been Mandela'd with their lack of BerenSTAIN Bears

Clancy Murphy

Of the more memorable VHS covers I remember from my old neighborhood video store The Ice Cream Man is damn near the top and after 25 years of wondering just how bad it could really be it feels highly appropriate that you guys decided to go ahead and preserve that mystery.

Rhea

Hey so I have this petition signed by 1 million people called "Mike keeps his beard forever" wow kind of a weird thing to have a petition for but what can I say the people want what they want haha alright I'll just leave that here on your desk. Anyway that abortion movie was weird, Suckling more like Yuckling am I right?

Michael Parker

You're various reactions to The Suckling made this an instant Best of the Worst classic.

Michael Parker

I wonder if The Suckling or Sharkcorsist is the bigger nadir for movies that made the crew uncomfortable to watch?

Anonymous

I'm embarrassed to admit that I was fascinated with The Suckling and looked for it on Amazon. The video is currently unavailable.

Manuel Johnen

I own "The Suckling" on VHS... ... ... I just wanted to mention that. :)

CosmicDebris

Wow the new lighting looks great and so was the episode.

Anonymous

Yay Jack! But no Deathstalker on the Plinketto? :( Also, loved the Mr. Bill-like ending.

Manuel Johnen

Honestly, to me it's not like "Sam Raimi meets John Waters meets TROMA", it's more like "Frank Henenlotter done badly"...

Manuel Johnen

Also, do you really consider "Stone Cold" to be such a bad movie to be placed on the Plinketto board...? :/

Lisa

Only as wrong as me hoping Howling 5 would make the cut.

Lisa

I remember Spacejacked. And I remembered that Corbin Bernsen married Amanda Pays and I had to check to see if they were still together despite being in this together. Yep. Good for them.

Anonymous

Please, guys, could you tone it down a bit with the real-life shitty things? This week a whole segment about an abortion video, the Christmas episode featuring an extended discussion about the barrels used to dispose of actual murder victims... I come here for the schlocky movie discussion and to escape from real-life depressing things, I don't need them in my funny videos!

Kurt

Thank you for watching so much crap on our behalf. When or if the current hellworld is over, I'll try to send you stuff you might actually enjoy!

Anonymous

Thank you all for more great entertainment!!!

Anonymous

I feel there is a cameo among us

Anonymous

My cat liked this episode.

Anonymous

I love these episode. It’s cool to watch 4 friends (who presumably like each other) have fun. I hope you guys enjoy making these episodes.

Michael Parker

I forgot there was also Mad Foxes and Faust, but have the crew plundered new depths of tastelessness with The Suckling?

Anonymous

The Suckling is like Things meets Eraserhead...

Tarami Bedona

The new lighting looks great!

Anonymous

You guys really need to stop watching CNN.

Anonymous

Excellent video guys, pitch perfect. (BUT WHEN ARE RICH AND MIKE GOING TO WATCH THE EXPANSE?!)

Anonymous

Counterpoint: maybe they're just realists that pay attention...?

Joey LaCorte

The lighting was immediately noticeably better. Great job.

Anonymous

What happened to always putting a Deathstalker film on the board till you watched all 4 films?

Clancy Murphy

I know it could have been easy to miss entirely but Corben Bernsen was also in one of the better network comedies of the last two decades as well (Psych 2006-2014)

AllGoodNamesRGone

What happened to Rich Evans being dead? My point being don't take what RLM may say in certain videos too literally.

Anonymous

THANK YOU! its been itching my brain for days trying to remember where i knew him from.

ALEXANDER MESKO

There is a trigger shortage in the world now as a result of Jack’s mass benediction of trigger warnings before The Suckling

Anonymous

I love that Mike's description of a better plot for The Dungeonmaster is essentially the plot to Gorilla, Interrupted :-)

meghan scullion

😳 Jack's face enough said. Lol
