Thanks guys. Watching Motherlode I couldn't help but think of the second episode of the Hannibal TV series: A pharmacist issues the wrong diabetic medicine to preselected victims so that they slip into diabetic comas. He then takes them into the woods and keeps them alive in a comatose state so that he can grow mushrooms on their bodies –making them one with the fungus…

Actually, IMHO, WoTW #8 and #9 were a worse than this. As horrifying as "Exploding Varmints" was, at least it provoked a reaction. Granted it was laughing in a "I can't believe this is actually happening" kind of way
