We were thrown for a loop with the unexpected amount of Space Cop blurays we've had to process and package, but were getting back into things now and shot a new Half in the Bag yesterday! Best of the Worst will be coming back soon as well.

FFS, where is the digital download? Everytime you post an update, all we get is "soon". How hard can it be to upload this stuff? I don't want to buy a BluRay I can't even use and wait 5 weeks for international shipping, only to get the download in the meantime. So PLEASE, stop this "soon" stuff. Are we talking hours, days, weeks, months?! Do we have to wait for all of the BluRays to be sold?

Any news on when the next crop of Blurays will be in Jay?

Anonymous

It's processed through their VHX site so I don't think it's just a matter of uploading. That said... I'm also hoping that "soon" means "today or tomorrow"!

A new BotW, new HitB and Space Cop finally a done deal and so popular that it's thrown you guys for a loop. If you're not very careful you might start giving the impression that you know what the f**k you're doing and that just wouldn't sit right with us low-expectation, easily pleased types.

Anonymous

How do you get through that kind of thing? Pack it all yourselves or get outside help?

Anonymous

I know you're getting a lot of dumb questions, but it would be really cool to know exactly how many discs were sold.

Great to know! I've now completed my recuperation-related HitB & BotW retrospectives - for a moment it was looking like I might have to start on a bloody Grabowskis retrospective, and I don't think any of us would want that.

You're the greatest!

when are you starting on DAWN OF THE AGE OF SPACE COP II: THE REVENGE?

fanodast

Speaking of Space Cop, this site hasn't seen an update in a while: http://spacecopmovie.com/ But I guess it would also be cool if it stayed like this, just like the Space Jam website from the 90s. (Cue "What is it with these Spaces?")

I hope they'll use the Blu-Ray money to finally buy Sammy's brain medicine.

how come so many people don't have blu Ray players and keep asking about DVD? cheap BR players cost shit-all these days, people talk about them like they're made of solid gold and powered by virgins tears or something. I'll wait for the Blu Rays to come back in stock, our favourite hack frauds are a small operation and understandably underestimated how high the demand would be. I'm looking forward to owning an RLM movie on my shelf.

I see that the post office tried to deliver me a package yesterday that I have to go pick up today. I'm hoping it's a certain spaaaaaace cop!

I'd been holding in my bowels ever since Space Cop was dropped on disc, shit my pants when it sold out and now that stain has festered, grown malignant. In this fevered state, twitchy with pain killers and pizza rolls--nearly at deaths door--only one question remains: When will Space Cop be released on Betamax?

Got my copy this afternoon. So excited!! Totally worth the wait.

Got the Blu-Ray in today as well. Loved it!

Hey guys, loved the movie and loved the commentary. Not complaining about the Blu-ray extras at all, but have you given any thought to doing a feature length doc on the making of the film? I know at one point in the commentary Jay states that he feels like you guys barely scratched the surface in getting into the making of the film. I'm sure you're just relieved to be done with the film for right now, but maybe a separate release down the road? I, for one, would love to know even more about the details that went into making the film, and would be more than willing to spend money on a "How Not to Make a Movie" style documentary, and I'm sure a lot of others would also. Just a thought, thanks as always for all your hard work!

redlettermedia

Yeah we've thought about. We'll see. An extensive doc like How Not to Make a Movie is basically like editing an entire other feature film so we didn't include it in the Space Cop release or the movie wouldn't have been out for probably another year.

Perhaps a more manageable thing to do would be a series of short behind the scenes doc segments on different aspects of the production? For one thing, I'd love to see a featurette about shooting on location. Space Cop made me want to visit Milwaukee on my next long weekend for some tourism!

Just finished watching. Thanks, you back frauds!

I have watched everything on the disc. I want more... and I know I shouldn't.

Is there anyone else who still didn't get their copy? I got a shipment notification on the 16th but I'm still waiting for my spacey goodness.

Anonymous

I haven't gotten mine yet. I live about 10 miles from where they are shipping it from so it won't be a long transit once it does ship. Maybe they were trying to take care of the international orders first or the orders that went out first were just totally random. Not much to do besides be patient I guess. As they have stated several times, they have been simply crushed by the number of orders. They aren't Amazon, they don't have a massive staff to handle logistics of processing thousands (probably) of orders. That's a lot of work. Creating shipping labels, having enough supplies on hand, taking care of postage for shipment worldwide, keeping track of who has already had their copy shipped out, etc. A fairly large undertaking for a 3-5 man shop. I would like to have my copy too, but it is what it is.

Space Cop is the worth the wait, its leaves you wanting more.....like a trilogy or something Thanks again guys!

I received mine here in Hong Kong yesterday. Great film. Really nice blu ray presentation, including a very generous blooper reel with plenty of Rich Evans breaking things and falling over. Quintessential RLM!
