ahhhh redlettermedia.com is down, dark days indeed

Aronofsky dumbed down his films after The Fountain and this film suffers for it. People don't like being reminded how horrible they are. And you're right in that audiences will be turned off from taking risks in seeing non-camel movies. Dark days are ahead, indeed.

Isabella Adjani where have I heard that name before? 3-2-3-4 4-2-3 AND!

The Wrestler is a great film as Jay says. And Requiem wasn't bad for its time (it did get over the top after a while). Aronofsky should do more movies about the human condition than "Symbolism: The Movie".

I was mixed on the film as well. The Religious metaphors were an interesting through-line but I kept wondering if there was going to be a point to it.

I'm kind of ambivalent about seeing this movie and the video made me even more unsure. I don't like to see a movie because of the sensationalism associated to it and at this point, I feel that would be one of the major reasons I would. As Mike and Jay expressed in the video, the ideas and religious metaphor behind the film seem like a very good idea but I'm left with the impression that it's too obviously showcased. I know I 'll be rolling my eyes to this. Also, not a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence.

Thank you Jay for reminding me to watch Possession! It's been on my watch list for years, but the mention of it finally made me watch it and I absolutely loved it! A new favourite has found its way to the top of my shelf and now I feel I should send you flowers for your fake wedding or something ;)

Spot on. Every one his films with the exception of The Wrestler fits that description exactly
