When we were working on our new edit of Gorilla Interrupted, we actually lit the Hell miniatures on fire but didn't end up using those shots in the movie.

Gorilla character theory notes from yesterday... Oy! Oy! = "I only listen to Operation Ivy and EARLY Green Day!" a deft recyclotron of the essential archetype of a McMansion punk from Livermore. Especially clutch to zap the drummer lol. That'll put 'em over the edge! Labcoat = Egon (from the cartoon, obv) + weird science, divided by Langly, but with more of an Astin in Encinoman delivery. Going full Toy Soldiers arch Astin, once he's battle packing it proper! Nice! Animal Planet = originally envisioned as Rutger Hauer from Surviving the Game, but probably went off the rails into crocodile country, with the scriptwriter agreeing only under duress. That's just a theory. Doubtless it's all covered in exacting detail in "The Secret History of Gorilla" a website, turned book, turned broken URL lol.  Altered States = 'Big Foot: the true unexplained mysteries of the Area 51 Sasquatch." Or Fire in the Sky, and a double shot of Communion with no chaser! Probably also a hint of Escape from the Planet of the Harry and the Hendersons, just to really ice it for the hardcore fans. The making was also brilliant! I made sure to watch that one first, in reverse order, so I could really experience the film as it was originally envisioned, after the fact. Well done! The important thing is that I didn't see any bluescreen matting lines and there were way more space ships! Sure it's kind of sad that I didn't get to see the model actually set on fire, but sometimes you gotta know what to leave out. Just for the blu ray bonus features and for the associated cartoons to flesh out.
