Astrean Cats (Patreon)

 I've been roleplaying with a friend  for a long time; he has a fantastic character, a young alien girl which  resembles a human being, terribly scared of cats. I've been wondering  for quite a while why, until his character described them.
They deserved a picture.
 

"Astrean cats are clever and cruel creatures; twice the size of an  horse, they like to show themselves as cute fluffyballs, but when you  lower your guard... They show their true alien  nature; these monsters enjoy slowly dismembering their prey piece by  piece with their massive canines covered by soft lips and enormous claws  hidden between their toes.
On Astrea, cats are used to punish political disertors and perpetrators of crimes against the Royal Crown."
 

<<When cats get bored of you, they... Change. A lot.
Their ears bend to the back, their large eyes become thin and pupils get bigger, feelers vibrate and sway towards their prey.
Their faces... Become sharp... Something between a creepy growl and grin, as if they could turn into a cobra at any moment.
Their thick fur lifts and a grave and continuous sound comes from their mouth which makes the earth shake.
When they assault, their acute screams claw at your eardrums.
And that's the end, because you're dead.>>
