Bug Love (WIP) (Patreon)

This one is a little heavier but it feels more personal to me. Arachne's father discusses how as an assassin bug he has struggled to understand the concept of love, as he's lived most of his life hunting, killing and fighting other bugs.

While scavenging Arachne's home however, he finds a frail and nearly dying arachne in her dead mother's arms. He takes her away to avoid possibly being eaten by scavengers.

When Arachne wakes up, he tells her that her mother is dead and she needs to leave, knowing that she is a child, he expected her to call him a liar and fight back. But arachne admits that she's known all along, and burst into tears (i didnt want to make it too clear in the previous comic, but i wanted to hint at arachne actually knowing her mom is dead but being in very deep, deep denial about it).

Arachne and the assassin bug never end up splitting up however and spend some time. and after she finally calls him papa while playing with her, the assassin bug realizes that he finally understands what love is.
