Some steps towards a Left-Lovecraftian fiction might be seen in Move Under Ground (2005) and The Damned Highway (2011), both pastiches of Lovecraft and another author (Jack Kerouac and Hunter S. Thompson, respectively) by Nick Mamatas. They're definitely a bit irony-poisoned, as most late aughts cultural artifacts are, but the distance allows Mamatas to experiment with things that would have been less possible in a more straight adaptation, though there are some real Implications in places.
