Fresh out of our Saw Retrospective, we exercise our new found appreciation for life by watching a movie that absolutely despises horror cinema.

Apologies for my audio quality in this week's episode. We recorded this while I was still ill and it looks like the bacteria had one last trick up their sleeves.

I was wondering why I never revisited this movie

New listener here, I really enjoyed this episode but I interpreted the ending a little differently. I felt like Joss and Drew chose to destroy everything in the world they built to signal to their audience that this system of norms and rules managed by the corporation they had depicted was untenable, and the line "It's time to give someone else a chance" was them saying "It's different now, you can break these rules just like we did in the movie! Down with the old way of doing things!" It felt more like a pat on the back to themselves than anything else to me, but that's just my perspective. Love the podcast.

These are great points. Definitely more than one way to read the ending of that film. Thanks for tuning in!
