A lot of people think they related or even incest lol . Ichigo mom and the aunt etcc. In Majority of ethnic asian culture we call older gentleman as uncle for female, aunt..... even if they are strangers. For Adults thats bit older than you and you don't know their name, you can call them sister, brother. Doesn't have to be related... You never call them straight out from their first name. Its really rude. So for example to a stranger that is an older gentleman, uncle ben etc.. Like if I say hello to you in my language it would be : Sister Allona: or if I see your mom it would be aunty .. Whatever her name is. Asian people also have a lot of similar last name, and that does not mean they are blood related at all.

The Shiba Clan is highly slept on. There has to be more lore behind them, and the fact the other Shiba clan members didn’t recognize Ichigo as family from jump, and to tie them back into the story is amazing work by Tite Kubo
