Looks like Luffy meeting Uta was the reason why he obsessed with getting a Musician way back in East Blue. Oda's tying it all together :)

Fun Fact: On the Title Card that shows Shank's Bounty, we see that when he visited Luffy's village he had a Bounty of "1,040,000,000". 1.04 Billion when Luffy was a kid!

Right-Hand Man

Didn't see the trailer for the movie, so having been introduced to Uta in this way was out of left field. It's not because it's a filler episode but just the fact that Shanks has a daughter. Also, Uta calling her "dad" Shanks is weird. Either he is but estranged in some ways or they made a pact (like Luffy, Ace, and Sabo did) to call each other father and daughter. At first, I thought Luffy was going to meet up with her in present time somehow but if this is all to hype up the movie then I guess we won't see her? at least anytime soon? Idk. Not a bad episode though. I always enjoy seeing Luffy as a kid :)

Definitely just a nice break from the war and all that. I just like the art style and Uta's singing. Fun Fact: This episode (and maybe the next 1/2 eps) are outsourced to a different studio. So Toei didn't animate these
