Yeah I was not a fan at all of the ending. The Miranjo situation went all wrong in my opinion. I get it a lot of stories like to push forgiveness, being the better person, and turning the other cheek and all that. But for this situation specifically, fuck all of that lol. Miranjo has literally been behind everything that has gone wrong in the kingdom. You can't even say everything turned out well in the end because she killed Boji's mom. I felt like her having to lay in the bed she made by being eaten by the demon was a perfect end for her. And to make things worse her redemption came off the back of Daida STEALING Despa's wish to save Oukan: Someone who ACTUALLY had no control over their evil actions since their curse of immortality corrupted their mind. That was some bullshit. Boji and Kage felt very forced as well. Kage leaving was an obvious plot device to keep Boji adventuring and I felt like it could have been done so much better. For a show that , to me, was a 9/10 and 10/10 for every episode up until this point the end felt very rushed/forced and that whole Miranjo situation did not sit right with me. However, I will say that I do overall like Hiling's character in the sense of her seeing the error of her ways. Yes she was terrible to Boji especially after Daida started growing up, but maybe because I've seen this in parents of kids with disabilities sometimes being overprotective turns into almost treating them not like a person because you are not believing in your kid's abilities. And that can hurt them emotionally and hurt their growth. I like that Hiling seemed to understand toward the end that the way she was with Boji wasn't right and she should believe in him. I do wish she were a bit warmer to him and conveyed her emotions better though but she seems to try to maintain this hard exterior with everyone I suppose because of her position.

THATS very well put and i do agree. they seem to push this forgiveness thing almost to an insane degree. same happened in naruto with Obito. its like bruh. we aint just going to overlook all the shit he just pulled...if it werent for him we wouldn't be in this mess. Itachi i can respect cause he aint trying to justify what he did and paint over his errors. he was willing to die for it cause he felt it was the right thing to do.
