I think Oden is in a lose lose situation when he asks for a chance. We know that at least eight of the 10 people sentenced to death are alive in present-day so I think Oden did something positive in that regard when considering whatever he has planned.

yeah Oden used Conq Haki. remember when Luffy was knocked out after his first fight against Kaido and he used Conq Haki while he was unconscious. Ashura saw that and he stated how it's like 'oden's special technique"

While we don't what kind of deal Orochi and Oden made five years ago, the deal he's trying to make at the boiling is just a "making the best of a lose-lose situation". He would've died anyway and the worst that can happen by making a deal is that they still kill him anyway, so Oden has nothing to lose.

It depends on the situation. Do you actually think that Oden will be able to kill him when his subordinates are there? Doubt so. It's possible, but it will be a very difficult task. I don't think that even Kaido himself will let him do that. Everybody at the brink of defeat or death, will automatically react on it.

In the manga Kaido was still in Dragon form when Oden was about to do the finishing blow. That makes him even more of a bitch because there’s no argument he was mid swing like in the anime. He used the distraction as an opportunity to leave dragon form and go into base form and THEN swing at Oden.

We don't actually know if Oden could have beaten Kaido, and to be fair, we didn't see Kaido use his hybrid form which we can assume to be his strongest.

Nah fam, the manga made it very clear that Oden was going to kill Kaido. The anime just tried to do Kaido justice. And his hybrid form ? Hybrid forms arent automatic, he probably didn’t have it back then.

Kaido saying : I was waiting for a guy like you. He’s admiring odens strength in battle and how it’s been a long time since he’s fought someone like him. Also in manga Kaido got dropped like a bitch after he got cut by odens paradise totsuka. Oden was going to finish Kaido while he was lying on the floor in his dragon form but then the momo incident happened. Oden went to save momo, but then Kaido intentionally turned to his human form and sneaked a bitch attack on Oden while he tried to save momo. The anime adaptation tried to protect kaidos reputation haha Also, Oden stopped being that thug you liked when he had his 2 kids lol Lastly, you’ll see why Oden proposes a deal for his execution in the next ep.

Maybe the mange did, I don't remember, it's been like a year, but there is no reason to believe he didn't have his hybrid form, hell we saw Kaku use his within like an hour of getting his fruit

It doesn’t matter if he did have it or not though. At that moment in time, Oden would’ve won that fight without any distractions. Kaido snuck behind him to give the final blow like a bitch.

We 100% do. The manga made it insanely clear Kaido was going to die. The anime changed a decent amount at the end of this fight to try and make Kaido seem a tiny bit more honorable. But like I said the manga was different, and it was clear Kaido was about to die.

Oden doesnt Have a choice in the matter when it comes to making a deal with Orochi and Kaido. The first time he made a deal with them it was to protect his people otherwise Orochi would start killing the citizens all over the country and Oden can’t be everywhere at once to save everyone. And now he’s making a deal because he’s gonna die anyway so might as well try to bargain with kaido.

Okay I asked this the first time when that old ass hoe changed into Oden's dad, BUT WHEN THE HELL DID SHE TOUCH MOMO???? That's how the fruit works, she has to touch the person before she can change to them so not only did she somehow touch the Shogun in the past but also touched Momo??? Nah.

while i agree its dumb and feels forced that an opportunity came up. they also had 5 yrs, she likely touched at least 1 retainer and used that opportunity to touch momo, likely happened off-screen. but i bet oda made it happen on-screen wed just have to go back thru the episodes and to theorize the most likely moments and retainer she chose. unless she got more than 1 retainer which seems even more forced and crazy then.
