Was the intent to go back to the originals for this reaction or will you do the little mini arc with Ssef's edits? Because alot of people were saying it would be perfect for that arc. Especially since Ssef only meant for those edits for the end of whole cake and that mini arc.

I know you probably didnt mean it like that, but you said didnt "appreciate" the edits. I just think most people didnt "prefer" it. But thats just me being technical.

nah "appreciate" is the right word. many didn't. sure he messed up at the end and should have kept the filler flashback. and he apologized too many times in every single comment's reply. it's not like it was he's job. he did it so to make her and everyone's experience a bit better. from what i see every reactor had problem with pacing and were bit annoyed/irritated. and Ssef did good. which wasn't appreciated.

The next arc is very disrespectful to the source material, because I guess Toei wanted more money. If Ssef can edit it to be the way that Oda intended, it would be amazing. I’m sure that there are many others Who truly understand what I’m talking about. No spoilers.

also a thought about luffys win, katakuri and many others would probably feel it would b dishonorable to kill him but yes he couldve rested leaning against a wall but probably wouldve also felt thatd b disrespecting luffys win that way or ya also couldve fallen foward, he saw that he not only had the will to get back up after being knocked thru the floor by his most powerful hit even after everything, but that his will was also strong enough that he will become king of the pirates and stating it as fact, making him respect luffy even more, plus luffy saying hell b back to fight them again :) i bet katakuri wouldve been mad if he said no he wouldnt b back to fight either of them :P XD lol

The editor did a good job, it's was just the part of Gear Fourth I was disappointed. I wanted you to be HYPE at the and of ep 869. Like : WHAT!?? Snake man?? etc But the editing WAS good :)

One Piece is usually slow enough with 1 chapter = 1 episode (while most anime are 1 episode = 2/3/4 chapters) and the next arc is 12 episodes for only 6 chapters ! Instead of 3 great episodes, there are 12 boring, filled with fillers episodes.

WCI is probably one of the most emotional arcs in one piece, I enjoy re watching it with you a lot allona ❤️

The edits generally bring good stuff, there are def parts where too much personal liberty is taken but I can't deny how much better some parts felt cas of the edits. I think maybe only edit it if it's both dragging (especially repeated flashbacks) and have low quality animation is a safe bet. I think similar suggestions have been brought up by other people too.

I saw Pudding erasing the kiss since Sanji would probably fall for her and be held back from his dreams so she removed it. She made a hard decision by truly loving someone enough to let that person go.

6 freaking episodes...and what a rollercoaster of emotions :) ...wondering how much of ur lifespan got lost by that :P The scene of Katakuri asking about Luffy and smiling in the end, was one of my favourite ones :) . And I think, Pudding probably erased the kiss, so there isn't any conflict inside Sanji regarding leaving her.

Episode 877 has to be one of my most favorites of all of OP. The feelings and emotions it brought in one single episode was phenomenal. The song that was used was beautiful telling this summary of the arc and how terrifying being in Big Mom's territory was. Some people don't like the abrupt ending of the arc and not knowing what happened, but I personally LOVED IT! It shows us that Big Mom wasn't playing when she told Brooke "you think no one is going to die?" It was a huge warning that you can't expect to enter a yonko's territory and expect to leave unharmed or without losing anything. Yes the Big Mom pirates took heavy damage, but looking how the arc ended it was so much more different, the Strawhats didn't have a party or feast like they usually do, they were all injured or hurt emotionally and worried. It leaves that eerie feeling of how will the Sun Pirates and Germa pull it off. Toei gets crap for episodes and pacing which I understand, but this episode, I give them praise for executing it so beautifully.

Exactly. She knew where Sanji truly wanted to be and loved him enough to sacrifice her own happiness to let him go by not leaving him with any conflicting feelings. Which by the way is the exact opposite of what Judge and Big Mom where doing with Sanji and Pudding the entire arc by disregarding their feelings and trying to take away their freedom. One of the major themes of the arc which came full circle with that contrast. Some damn good writing from Oda this arc.

Whole Cake Island is definitely the best arc in the New World for me. But Soul Pocus was probably one of the best episodes of One Piece of all time. It was the perfect way to end the arc and definitely hit the feels way more than the manga did. Toei did an amazing job with episode 877.

I think Pudding erased Sanji's memory because she tought she didnt deserved to have him. She hurted his feelings and felt so bad about it that she doesnt think she deserves his love. And thinking that just makes me want them to have tons of babies

I feel like Pudding got rid of Sanji’s memory of the kiss because it was the moment she finally proved that she truly did love him, and knowing Sanji he would never leave if he knew Pudding was in love with him. Notice she immediately runs away after, she didn’t want him to say goodbye.

'Don't die no matter what' vs ' Don't die even if it kills you' I believe the latter (and also the original) translation is better. Too bad I don't make subs.

The official translated chapter 901, Luffy says "Don't let even death stop you!!!". I also did like "Don't die even if it kills you!" more.

Yeah Smoothie unfortunately didn’t get to do much this arc. Around the time the manga ended for this arc apparently Oda had said he wished he could’ve done more with her. Also Katakuri more then likely did vote for Brulee as favorite younger sister. A bit a trivia Smoothie, Amande, and Brulee are ranked top 3 favorite older sisters among the family.

It's not like I/we dont appreciate the new format, it's just we prefer without cuts or probably it's just me. As it's my first time watching One Piece, I'd like to enjoy it without cuts.

That doesn't even happen in the manga and it doesn't need to because Sanji is always using armament on his foot, it's just not illustrated in a way where it's over his shoe/pants. Oda confirmed since the timeskip that he has armament haki. It's not like this was the first time he's used it lol.

Pudding kissing Sanji is the way for her to express her true feelings for him. She's just being considerate since she gave him a hard time and they're technically enemies, so she doesn't want him to think she's 100% in love with him after all. I definitely hope that we can see her again someday, though :(

ya she also knows he has to go and she for various reasons has to stay and also cant get her feelings out, "i have to apologize" then does the opposite, shes perfect for sanji, 2 ppl who get overheated and have nosebleeds over each other, violet rly liked sanji but again he had to go but she didnt love him as much as pudding does and wasnt as much of a match for each other as pudding and sanji, i rly hope they get to b together again b4 the end and after giving her the eventual wife and motherhood life she deserves and obviously aches for, shes the 1st person in the series i think to feel so alone and broken :) <3 < / 3

The kiss ties down Sanji into a marriage since that's all that was missing to make them husband and wife and she doesn't want to tie him down to her forcefully so she erased his memories.

The last episode made me cry. Am I too sensitive ? I felt very bad for Pudding, I never ship Sanji and her before but now maybe a little, but actually in my opinion, Sanji isn't in love with her, not how she is with him. I hope they'll meet again someday, or she'll find someone as kind as Sanji. And I find Brulée in the last episode, really beautifully design. Love her relationship with Katakuri. And the fact that Katakuri is not a villain make him really appreciated by the fandom. I mean, is not evil, he just defends his family and work for and with them. He was an enemy, but in another circonstances he would be an ally.

Man, rewatching this arc reminded how I really loved some of the dynamics of the Charlotte siblings. Would definitely watch a "keeping up with the Charlottes" series XD
