From my perspective, they only made the basics of the cake in the almost 3 hours. The remaining hours will be used to decorate and transport it to Cacao Island (you saw how ridiculous the cake looks). And if you wondered how Katakuri sleeps, Oda said in the SBS that he just leans on a wall and falls asleep :D

Allona, heads up. Katakuri was made to be basically Luffy +1. His bounty even shows that. Luffy is 500 million. Katakuri is not only 1 Billion, which is double that, but he has 57 million. 57 is one more than 56, and 56 in Japanese can be pronounced (Go- mu), the same pronounciation as Luffy's rubber fruit. Oda did that to show that Katakuri is one step better than Luffy in everything.

Luffy dont go 4th gear right out because there is a limit. You should know the rest.

The reason Luffy hasn't gone gear 4 yet is because as he said, he cant hit katakuri with or without his haki, not even once. Luffy thinks katakuri is basically untouchable and immune to taking any damage. therefore, using gear 4 would be meaningless and due to the time limit would mean he would be defeated the instant gear 4 runs out. This is why luffy was using all his different types of attacks and even tried grabbing his trident, he was trying to find a way he could actually damage katakuri. Just like how he had to find crocodiles weakness to water before going ham on him.

During the release of this fight a lot of people were actually rooting for Katakuri to win haha, he's such a likeable character. People were saying they would have no complaints if luffy dies and katakuri takes over as the main character haha.

Katakuri is basically Luffy's mirror image ... but better. Fitting to have them fight in the mirror world, huh? :P

The end shot of the last episode is probably a bit misleading, cause it kinda looks like luffy is outside of the big mochi, but I think its just a shot of luffy underneath it. At least that's what I believe.

the best part of katakuri isnt even that hes super strong but rather hes not like an evil villain either. unlike doffy he doesnt have evil intentions. he probably killed his fair share of ppl but he aint no psycho. he just does the things big mom orders or for the benefit of his family. he doesnt take enjoyment out of tormenting others. u can see he was frustrated at luffy not learning from his mistakes during the fight. his character is just hard to hate on cuz the only reason hes technically a villain is cuz luffy is the mc. otherwise hes just another pirate fighting for his own crew.

You pointed it out pretty early on saying "How is Luffy able to get up after that?" Just know that there are quite a few filler fight scenes within the canon fight scenes that the anime adds compared to the manga which make it seem like Luffy is taking way more damage than he actually is. While I think a lot of the scenes are cool, it's still my biggest gripe with the anime's adaptation of this fight. It throws the consistency off a bit, and while Luffy is a tank (because he's rubber amongst other things) he's not nearly as durable as the anime makes him out to be. So if it feels off to you at times... just know that it is lol.

The 16-bit sounds from Katakuri’s awakening reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog games for Sega Genesis.😋

plus grabbing katakuris mole with his legs was like gon in hunter x hunter making netero use his right hand during their lil fight b4 trick tower. it was a minor achievement but he was able to do something he couldnt b4 for both gon and luffy. :) lol

luffy is not sometime smart sometime dumb, basically he is genius fighter, and have big empathy, he just next level dont give a f with strategy

if luffy would go in gear 4 right at the get go he would lose 100 % without figuring out katakuri powers etcc.

As is gear 4 is a trump card, with a strict time limit on it. Luffy knows he can't use it before he figures out Katakuri's ability and how to get around it. Otherwise he'd use it, miss all of his attacks, run out of time and haki and get killed.

I dont think it works that way. As we have seen so far in the story, breaking the mirror means you can physically travel through it any more, However you can still hear others on the other side.

it is only another part of WCI, brulee just got help making the entire place and tho it does seem like she doesnt exactly make them herself they just appear cuz their always saying they found this and that mirror, so mayb she made that place special where it would connect to any mirror within totto land territory, tho it could also b that she made all the mirrors just that the connections to their counter parts is automatic, so question is how much work did she put into making that place and the mirrors :)

mostly goes by instinct with a not so rare but not so often bout of inspiration, mostly being try try again till he figures something out :P lol but he does hold trump cards pretty close to the vest the bigger the more of a last resort he considers it to b partly also cuz of the massive energy burn and hunger it causes and prefers to figure his opponent out b4 he uses a move they havent seen, hence the definition of trump card, hes got some strategy but its mostly just understanding his limits and trying to gauge when or if he should push them usually when he was no other choice, plus cant use them on the ship or close by friends or other stuff for the obvious reason of mass destruction like G4 king kong gun at dressrosa lol
