part 1 is 9 eps so it would probably be good to do 3x3

I always tend to forget that depending on the sub of part 1, since it takes place in the 1800's it talks in older English which can sometimes make it harder to understand. The official subs on Crunchyroll, Hulu, (maybe Netflix I haven't seen that sub but it only has season 1), all speak in modern English.

The subtitles are pretty bad I should say, you should probably change the site for your next reaction.

I will say that Netflix is fine but Crunchyroll has more modern English for the translation for the first 9 episodes but the whole show is censored. However Hulu has the whole season uncensored and it's Hulu's version that actually has the official translation so honestly between those three it's fair game, although uncensored is the best visually because censor blacks out a lot of scenes like the entire episode 3 with Dio slaughtering everyone was darkened because of the censoring.

This show is intentionally crazy. Asking "intellectual questions" as you put it is advised. It might not be apparent in part 1, but I want to see you keep up in part 2, because it's really convoluted.

I discover this anime thanks to you. It's weird at first but interesting. I can't stand Dio and I knew he "died" too early, too easily. The end XD Dio has clearly some mental issues.
