So I just wanted to open a discussion on how GOT ended? I feel as though it ended decently BUT for this to be the FINAL SEASON it should've been more satisfying?? What are your thoughts?

imo didn't really care for it since I don't watch it

Terrible. Honestly I wouldn't even recommend the show to anyone. I couldn't ever tell them to watch 8 seasons of a show that disappoints you at the end that badly.

Anonymous

Uhm well I've never watched GoT but being with my gf for 7 years who is a huge fan she was extremely disappointed

Anonymous

I was most disappointed with who they chose to wear the crown at the end.

I feel like the last 2 episodes mostly made sense. But how fast we got there is the problem. There wasn't enough build up to Dany going mad queen or Jamie going back to Cersei. It should at least been 2 full seasons. Not the shortened ones we got.

Anonymous

To be honest, I felt kinda empty.

My feelings: I liked it, but i didnt like it. I cant quite explain it but i feel like we needed more. For example cerseis death, prob the most wanted death and also the least satisfying. I cant explain how disappointed i am

Why did they have to do 6 episodes? That is what I don't get the most. The writers should know well that what people hate the most are rushed endings.

Yea it turned into a Game of Disappointment. They did my Khaleesi and Jon Snow real dirty 🤦‍♂️ One died and the other ended back at square one with the wildlings. I feel like after everything they went through in the entire series, they deserved a much better ending. It baffles me how Bran and Sansa who did no fighting and barely contributed in the overall scheme of things ended up as King of the Six Kingdoms and Queen of the North 😒

I actually didn't mind that. I felt as if looking back and thinking on it that was probably best decision. BUT Danny getting taken out like that was a shock.

I'm satisfied that you will keep one piece reaction....about Got...i'm so angry and disappointed About Last Episode doesn't Decent With Something Like Got it's like Ending of Normal Movie 💔💔💔

The cinematography, acting, direction, and all technical aspects were great and some of the best I’ve seen. The writing, however, left too much to be desired. Inconsistencies popped up everywhere. The immediate example that pops into mind is Bran’s total lack desire for just about anything and ending up where he did. There was a legitimized bastard with a strong claim to the throne, and he was completely ignored! Lastly, the world is not flat! Euron had sailed the entirety of the world and knows what is lies beyond. Luckily, GRRM just got the biggest, and most expensive, promotional campaign for the last books in the series. I hope to read them soon.

Last episode was a completely disappointment for me,especially when John kill Danny as they were zooming on them kissing I just kept saying do not stab her!!..it was so soap opera lol I was expecting at least drogon would have gone crazy with anger his emotion felt very human it was weird he was heart broken I think..well it was disappointing

Jyn Jilly

My only takeaway from this season was... Oda better not mess up the ending of One Piece like they messed up GOT lol

SupremeCai

I liked it and was completely satisfied but not everyone is gonna be satisfied especially when they want their theories to come true and have invested almost a decade into the show. I've come to accept most people despise this last season for reasons I cannot see

I felt empty watching this

SupremeCai

I have friends who said it was tied up perfectly but hated the rest of the season and others who jumped on and hate this entire season in general. C'est la vie, not everyone was gonna be happy I suppose xD Makes me wonder/worry for Oda and how he will end such a long adventure.

damion

Wasn't terrible but I wasn't jumping out of my seat either. Seems like they did the bear minimum for satisfaction. Were you going to do a reaction to the last two episodes (not saying you have too)? That might make it more enjoyable, lol.

allonashareetv

I'll have this episode but the the footage to the last episode I accidentally deleted. 😰

I am one of those rare cases who started watching starting season 8, and I was kinda impressed with the Night King's army attack (not with hit death though). The rest of the season was kinda meh. What I want to say is that the writers dropped the ball and I found a video that says it in a funny way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk60P_dzgk8

I just watched this discussion from a Movie reviewer who binged GOT in two weeks plus the last season, I think it is pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u_zNDQIeHk

The only good thing I liked from the finale was when Drogon melted the Iron Throne. That thing was cursed the last 7 people to sit on it, Jaime and Ned included, died prematurely and everyone who fought to sit on it is dead. Other than that the finale was okay I guess.

The final season has amazing spectacle and cinematographie at the cost of bad writing. Its still cool if you dont try to think to hard about it making sense. Many plot strings ended in a disappointing fashion. However, i do intend to rewatch all seasons in a row to get a better feeling about the series as a whole.

n7 1/2 good years ruin by the last 2 episodes Cersei death was a joke Jon killing Daenerys was even a worst joke there was no excitement at all not like the walking dead rick finally scene I watch that over and over

so far so good

The ending for me was actually good for me at least, just how it got there felt so rushed. I Liked the ending but the last 5 episodes were disappointing. Especially the knight king story.

stressbean

Arya look like she is on her way to become the King of the Pirates. This was unsatisfying and such wasted potential when it comes both to Danny and the Night King. Honestly Tryion would have been the best person to lead but they decided to choose Bran ok i guess

Anonymous

It was boring, but I'm happy to see Bran as King, and Sansa as Queen of The North.

allonashareetv

It wasn't all the way boring. I just think for a finale we all were geared up for it to be big but it wasn't.

Anonymous

TRASH. I wanted Podrick to rule the seven kingdoms!!!

Anonymous

Highly unsatisfied to be honest. I'm not a fan of bran and also the cersei death pissed me off. Also not over how anti climactic the stuff with the night King was lol

Anonymous

i think a show like GOT cannot/will never be as satisfying as people hope it to be, otherwise it wouldnt be GOT ,lets be real if GOT ended with a happy ending(like jhon and dany ruling togheter) it would be even more unsatisfying.(to be clear im not saying they did a good job at all with this season, but not for the character choices(dany jon, bran...) but to me it just felt rushed. and the only thing i hate the most is that cersei death )

Anonymous

Wow I am a new patreon subscriber so I am shocked that you watch GOT. But honestly I am still sad how they just messed over the night king. The finale I was fine with it if only they recognized all of Jon’s achievements before banishing him, also loved how drogon decided to spare Jon (because somehow he bonded with Jon and we couldn’t tell because they did everything so quick) and decided to burn the iron throne. At time they use theories and times completely shun them. Dany like her ancestors has the gift of dreaming a prophecy and she dreamed she entered the throne room and it would be dark and snowy and now we realize it wasn’t snow but ashes.

SupremeCai

OP today by the way? 👀 No rush just curious

Personally, I thought it was a pretty good ending but I too would have liked more episodes this season to slow down the pacing a bit. Khaleesi's turn did feel a bit rushed in episode 5 but at least in the finale they do devote a fair amount of time to her explaining herself to show she wasn't just the "Mad Queen" but that it was the end result of her life's desire to break the wheel. Jon was sort of punished for his choice, but really he just rejoined his people. He was the commander of the watch before and it's not supposed to be a temporary position. Between his close relations with the Wildlings and his need to always put duty before anything else, it was the best place for him. In the end, it all goes back to the beginning though and that was what made the finale as enjoyable for me as it did. The Starks were initially disgraced, deemed traitors to the crown, but in the end they essentially lead all 3 areas (the far north, the independent kingdom of Winterfell and the 6 Kingdoms) and lead an expedition to discover uncharted territories. And I loved that at the end, it was a Lannister who helped to put a Stark on the Throne after everything they suffered from them.
