Now I see why you all wanted me to include 543. This is beyond sad and heartbreaking. Though I wish Tiger would have chose to live I can honestly understand his decision.

Thank you for doing 4 episodes hon. This backstory always gets to me :'( Oda is a master when it comes to heartbreaking backstories

Oda really knows how to incorporate real world problems like discrimination and racism into the story. If these kind of things didn't exist to begin with, how much better would our world be!! So far the only person trying to bring together both races is queen Otohime, and even Fisher Tiger regretted getting on her way.

He really does. I think for me the OP world problems hurts the most because the feelings are so real, relatable and true to how things are now. I really appreciate Oda for this because it exposes ppl to these problems and presents these situations to where you can fully feel and understand a person's pain and feelings.

Observation Haki lets you feel what other people are feeling as well, a lot of people in combat use it to anticipate people's actions through their intentions, which helps them dodge attacks. Thats also why back in Skypiea the only way Luffy could defeat Enel was to ricochet his attacks, so that there was no intention behind it for him sense. But In some people like Coby and Queen Otohime, they can also feel what others are feeling much more intensely. Thats why the Queen used to cry a lot around angry or sad people, and Coby had a meltdown in Marineford when all these emotions from thousands of people flooded him all at once.

"You don't do bad stuff, you won't get beatins". Lol, love how you used a One Piece episode to show how parenting is done and your smile when your little man agreed was funny. Happy late B-day young man you both are great.

Marah Kitten

Koala and Tiger make me cry: '( I think the admiral said he was ignoring the fact that Koala belongs to the Celestial Dragons and he let her stay with her family. I'm sad because Tiger, like Otohime, wants a world where the man and the fisheman can coexist and get along, but in his heart, he hates them because of all the difficulties he has gone through. That's why he can't accept the blood transfusion. But he hopes the next generation like Koala will make the difference.

Great reaction, I got emotional watching this part again. So just wanted to clear up something, the tall haired guy said the village made a deal with the Navy so that they would let them keep Koala. So no, she did not get taken back to Mariejois.

Figgerson

Just when you thought One Piece was already a complex and moving story, Oda goes and writes an arc about generational hatred, it’s absolutely incredible.

A lot of MLK(Otohime) and Malcom X(fisher tiger) references in this arc

Observation Haki has a lot of uses - Queen Otohime's Observation Haki was so developed that she could sense people's emotions to the point of understanding what they were feeling or memories of their journey. Just like how Rayleigh was able to ascertain what was happening in the slave auction just with a few seconds of "thinking." The Queen cries so much because of the immense suffering she feels from her Haki.

Florin

Rayleigh didn't use Observation to analyse the situation, lmao. Observation Haki was never stated to see the past, you're just making shit up. Sensing emotions is standard Observation Haki for some people

Cristian

Gon strawberry freecs lol

SeCo D. Raw

you probably got it while editing but just in case, they did not take back koala because they did some kind of exchange with the village people so that they can keep koala, therefore they "sell out" tiger in order to keep koala which makes it even more fucked up for me even though you can understand the village people and why they did it

In case you didn't see it when you were editing, at 1:07:31 the rear-admiral stated that the town tipped them off that fisher tiger was coming, in exchange for letting koala stay even though she was a slave. Also with the blood types, they're just like real world blood types. AB- and B- for example are only carried by 3% and 2% of the human population. And the only blood types compatible with, say, the 2% blood type B-, would be B- and O- which is carried by 7% of the population.

martin luther jimbie and malcom x arlong -Daquan lol love that guy

Assimilater

The subs weren't wrong. Hody was led to believe Fisher Tiger died because humans refused to give him blood, when the truth was he rejected their blood (though in truth it might have been difficult to find a willing person if they weren't on a navy ship with blood reserves)

Otohime=MLK FisherTiger=MalcomX

On how Otohime gave birth to Shirahoshi or how Neptune got her pregnant in the first place. Fish don’t reproduce the same as humans so it make sense that mermaids and mermen don’t either. The female will lay eggs In water and then the father will fertilize them. No sex or birth involved.

I have subscribed just to see your full reaction to Otohime/Fisher Tiger flashbacks

HowardisBoss

Fun fact, Sanji and Arlong has the same blood type and both of them did not end up sharing with the other race. This is recent information we got from a data book made by Oda this past month.

Nuzso121

really shit i missed that then when i first watched that

IBG_Music

we know that bellemere was shot in the heart by arlong, we saw it. So I'm not sure what you meant with "Are we gonna see what happened to her?" Or did you mean that you didn't want to see it again. (or did you watch the horrible censored version...)

IBG_Music

That scene with Arlong hitting Koala and her just apologizing made me shed a tear.

chris

too heart wrenching, as it is for me, at the moment he pulls the trigger i look away/close my eyes and wait, 1 of the few scenes in op i cant bare to watch.
