In this episode I tell you to watch Babes In Toyland.... but take that advice with a grain of salt. Perhaps a whole shaker of salt. Also whoopsie daisy I recorded on my computer mic like a big dummy!!

Sorry about the lack of podcasts lately. In the new year I wanna do a good job with this podcast, because it's super fun! Hopefully you are aware that it is on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/sistertime-podcast/id975412356?mt=2

And I just applied to have it put up on Sitcher. I'll let you know if that works out!

Episode 16-- Babes In Toyland by Sistertime Podcast

It may not be Christmas anymore, but does Christmas ever really leave us? Probably. But hey, why not relive that brief moment of joy in an otherwise miserable year with the Sistertime Podcast Christmastime Special! The sisters discuss the 1986 made-for-TV "Babes In Toyland" starring Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore, one of the best Christmas specials ever made.

Well, that was a weird movie. It was fun to watch Richard Mulligan giving a delightfully over-the-top performance. I wonder, was Barnaby always evil or is the movie making a statement about the corrupting influence of capitalism on the owners of the means of production? It's even presented in stark contrast to the altruistic pseudo-communism of the Toy Master who gives away everything for free. Although that's probably crediting the movie with more depth than it deserves. Especially when you consider that this is at it's core a story about a girl suffering from massive head trauma.
