Update on "Star Love" (working title) (Patreon)

Whenever I plan to start an animated project, I ask myself "Is this fantasy so horny, it has to be animated to reality?" The answer to "Star Love" of course is "oh fuck yeah!"

For the first series of loops, to be compiled into a sequence, three crew members of a lone spaceship spend their long times crossing the galaxy by fucking in different ways, in zero gravity. 

I was aiming for this series of sci-fi raunch to be my next animation project. However there are a few hurdles to overcome. I always try to figure out how to do the animation with the least amount of work as possible, as I don't have the time or budget that large scale animation productions do.

One issue is as mundane as the design of the characters' boots. They are a complex hard shape, whereas nudes are more organic and full of energy (and way more fun to draw!). If such rigid boots are to be made animation-friendly, they should be simple yet appealing. The more lines a design has, the more labour it takes to draw, so fewer lines means I have time to focus on other things. 

Another issue is the number of characters on screen at once, which also adds to the labour. I think a good work-around is to animate with less drawings. Limited animation is quite wonderful and fascinating in how it still looks lively; there are lots of anime out there that pull this off well.

One more issue is backgrounds. I would have to find time to design backgrounds and interiors of spaceships, which would have to be done quickly and beautifully. I might try to paint in Clip Studio Paint, as I heard that is quite useful for perspective and so on.

But yeah, boots are a pain... also I still haven't found a name for the captain (brown hair). Hikari is the blond, and Kaz is the pink haired one.

Pictured above is the thumbnail for a promotional image I wanted to make. Notice of course how the boots are very sketchy and not quite figured out. Kaz also has slightly different boots that the others. 

Do you guys have any ideas for the name of the captain?

So that is where I am with "Star Love". Boots are boring, and so are backgrounds. When that is sorted, the horniness that is "Star Love" will start flowing! I think in the meantime, I will start an animation of the Fairy Tail characters: Natsu giving Grey a real pounding. I'll post some roughs to you guys soon, so stay tuned!
