I was looking the short time-lapse video from a fellow photographer on Twitter, showing the complete retouching technique he applied on his photos.
On one hand I felt ashamed about how little I know about Photoshop techniques, on the other hand I was not impressed by the final results he was posting nor by the philosophy that lied behind.

In a way, my ignorance about retouching techniques is helping me to stay true to nature as much as possible, I don't change the color of skin or lips or nipples, I rarely retouch eye sockets, I never enlarge breasts or reduce bellies...
In a word, I keep things simple.
I just locally edit out blemishes in the skin whenever I think they could attract too much attention and stop the flowing of the body.

With Linda I had to work on her cheeks in particular, filling in the gaps, but maintaining the general texture of the skin.

Even these small interventions do take a lot of time, due to the sheer number of photos I take, but I think it is worth the effort.
Actually, most of the times, my photos appear already too refined, like in this case, I guess it is thanks to the high quality lenses I use.
