Even the worst looking background looks much better if it is blurred out of focus by a quality lens.
In this case, the ordinary looking basement is transfigured in an almost monochrome version of a Piet Mondrian painting, but the element that stands out even more is the sharp lady in the foreground, the beauty we know as Linda.
