Another request from you Patrons, apparently you have enjoyed this new entry, Linda.

I was stuck with using always my two favourite lenses, 58mm and 100mm, but for the last shooting I decided to stir things up and use some tasty Nikon AI-s lenses.

This is the cheap (in cost, not in quality) Nikon 85mm f2 AI-s, one of the so called "forgotten lenses", because I seldom use them.

85mm is considered the ideal focal length for portraits, and this image of Linda is actually working very well.
The lens was used wide open, because it is not an extremely fast glass, and the result is well balanced between focus and out of focus areas, and a pleasant transition in between.

This is why 85mm focal length is so appreciated for portraits, and this old AI-s lens deserves to be remembered a lot more when I'm packing my gear for future shootings, as well as the handcuffs!
