Not only I have to manual focus accurately, but I also try to maintain my camera perfectly straight.
Not easy without an additional vertical grip, but the electronic spirit level inside the viewfinder is a great help (and another distraction that is slowing me down...)
But I'm not in a hurry after all, I have usually 3 hours at my disposal, and it is better to get less picture of better quality, rather than the other way round.
I find that straight lines are improving even my "casual" photography and, if required, I can always adjust the framing in Lightroom later on.
Converging lines, when I'm shooting from a higher or lower position, do not feel like a problem to me.

The activities that are really wasting my time are the videos, but now that I've introduced them, I realise there's no way back 😅you like them too much, and they are giving a precious insight about what is like to work with certain models.
