The web finally realised that size is an issue.
Hosting huge files (photo or video), can become an issue in the future.
Most social media are cutting down on the file sizes allowed (VK is down to 2 GB videos files now and I have to lower the quality of my backstage videos to upload them).
Obviously paid hosting services are available, but the cost is quite high.

For my website I have decided to try embedding the videos from a different source, hoping to keep the website lighter and more efficient.
But I hope to be allowed to store at least the high quality pictures galleries directly on the website itself, albeit not in the highest resolution...

On the other hand, the market is heading cameras capable of 100 MP photos and 16 K videos... I wonder where on earth  are we planning to store all that stuff!
I think I will stick to my 24 MP photo standard for a long time, because even the 36 MP files from my dated Nikon D810 are giving me some problems, both in post processing as well as in posting on social media.
