I like models that do not shy away from a challenging situation; on my part, I accept the difficult lightning conditions we might face in certain locations.

The mix between natural light coming from the window and artificial light coming from the lamp gave a completely different color temperature and a wide range of intensity to the scene.
In these conditions it is not a good idea to rely on the exposure meter of the camera and on the auto white balance!
I was shooting raw, in manual mode, with the white balance set on daylight, checking on the histogram if I was not loosing informations in the highlights.
In post production I was able to finely tune the exposure and tried to balance the different light temperatures by instinct and personal preference.
I like the final result: obviously the BW version was easier to balance in this case, but the color version radically different casts really bring a new emotional dimension to this particular picture: you can feel the cold temperature and the heat emanating from the lamp.
The pleasant warmth of the light is attracting our attention to the face of the Martina, exactly how I would do with focusing.
Let's call this technique a selective warming...

The lens I used for this picture was the Nikon 200mm f4 AI, one of the "forgotten lenses".
