There are poses that are definite and precise, somewhat iconic.

But there are also indefinite pose, the in-between movement to reach a new position, where the body has not settled yet. I find these transitional poses fascinating because you can get the model off guard and looking more vulnerable, sometime you can even perceive the slight movement of a limb or of the hair that have not yet settled.

I'm extremely severe with my photographic technique and my focus, but I'm more prone to tollerate this kind of randomness from the model's side, as part of the process, it's a way to keep the pictures genuine and raw.

This is another reason why I'm not very fond of flashlight, that freezes every movement and transform people in high definition wax figures.
