Balloons are almost deliciously tempting things for avians to sink their beaks and talons into; so when the threat arises, it's wise to wave them away. This is especially true if you're riding along on a big latex balloon - but probably... nnnnot so wise if you're doing it with someone who isn't using quite enough of his brain, and jams his sword into the thin rubber whilst midway through socking one of the featherbags in the chest. Balloons can be suuuuper durable - but one prick, and the next second could be disastrous...!
