**SMOKESCREEN HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

This episode sets up a lot of questions that the season needs to answer, suspicions and revelations about characters, and with the Sybil System in straight-up DENIAL that there are any problems, it's up to Division 1 to take on Kamui and the task at hand...but things are definitely about to get dicey!

Loved the reaction & discussion! The layers (and amount) of suspicion you level against Everything And Everyone is an absolute delight. 😂 Hinakawa is a precious bean, must be protected at all costs, etc, etc! He’s so timid, but he still wants to be helpful – especially to Akane. I think Akane noticing him and trusting him with tasks has really been building his confidence to some extent – we definitely hear it in the way he delivers his “administering justice” 😂 line in this ep in comparison to S2E1. I think it also shows how well Akane is developing as a leader – she inspires loyalty AND good performance! She showed a lot of the qualities which impact this in S1 and we see more of the results now. Getting more KuniKara always soothes my soul! 🥰 And I like that they have Hinakawa on their radar and are looking out for him. Cannot mention Shion anymore without going to Saiga! He is so straightforward and kind of – relentless? Or maybe steadfast is the better word – we see it in the ‘interrogations’ he’s been doing, the way he speaks in such a deliberate and particular way. Really love his interactions with Shion because she is more cautious and sneaky in her approach, so their dialogue sparks really well. The week to week wait with these eps is brutal. Looking forward to next week! Rule of Eight! 💙

EVERYONE is suspicious at this point, hahahaha - not really, but y'all know what I mean! Yeah, Hinakawa is a bean and I'm on the protecc squad with him for SURE! And KuniKara content is so appreciated! I love the connections with them wanting to watch out for Kunikawa to Shion and Saiga's awesome dynamic! Steadfast I think describes him really well! And ahhhh, yes, Rule of 8 this coming week....and what a Rule of 8 it is! Excited!! Thank you for the kind words and comment!

I love the multi-layer meaning to Akane's "conversation" with Kougami about Kamui. Especially given that Kougami gives the supposition that a possibility is that Akane has gone crazy, followed by her comment that Kamui isn't a figment of her imagination, there is now proof he exists. Kamui may not be a figment of her imagination, but this conversation with Kougami is. Though I do have to say that whole scene also gave me such BBC Sherlock vibes with Sherlock's mind palace. I just love them pointing out that in order for the Sibyl System to continue to spout that they are an infallible creation, they just brush things under the carpet that don't fit nicely into their box. Even at the cost of other people's lives. I feel like that conversation with Chief Kasei shows that Sibyl's main focus is on maintaining the status quo and image that Sibyl has within society, whereas Akane's focus is solely on correct justice being rendered. It's really so interesting Akane's way versus Mika's way of working with the Enforcers. Mika shot Hinakawa down on the scene for looking for a Holo, so why on earth would he feel comfortable in verbally telling her what he found. He sent her the relevant information (which I'd say is the more new-fangled method than just verbal communication, and usually Mika is all about not doing things the old-fashioned way), but in order to protect herself from blame she pushes it off on to someone who has less power to stand up against her. Akane, meanwhile, takes the time to acknowledge that Hinakawa's efforts and assistance is what helped them gain a little more information on Kamui. These scenes definitely make me love Akane all the more, whilst also making it more difficult to feel sympathetic towards Mika. Though if I was in Hinakawa's shoes I think I'd prefer Mika's attitude than Akane being kind only to then dump all that work in my lap 😆 Everyone else in Division 1: Getting busy with the case Kunizuka and Shion: Getting busy with each other I love that even the symbol for the Togane Foundation makes him suspicious as hell, but I do think they made that emblem like an illuminati symbol just to further our suspicions around Togane. Ever since your suspicion radar was going off in Season 1 over the therapist I've been highly anticipating you seeing this episode and that reveal. I felt the exact same with Hinakawa. I know I'd have loved his character much earlier on, only because of Kagari I was scared to become as attached to characters as I did with him. But then our precious shy boy just wormed his way into my heart 🥺 This anime does an exceptional job at teasing you with some of the puzzle pieces but not showing you how those pieces fit together. As well as giving you pieces that may or may not have meaning to the bigger picture. For organ donation in the UK a new opt-out system was imposed (June 2023 for here in Northern Ireland), that has everyone over the age of 18 listed as organ donors and if you don't want to donate then you can fill in a form to opt out of donating. I won't be opting out and so when I die, so long as they are viable for use, I will be donating my heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, pancreas, intestinal organs, nervous tissue, muscle, tendons, blood vessels/arteries/veins, bones, skin, and corneas/eyes. The latter seven though may require express permission for donation and therefore, at the time, not count as a blanket permission for donation. I do believe you can already donate tissue from your retinae, and I know for sure you can donate your cornea to help people with eye conditions. I just don't think we've got to the point, technologically-wise, to be able to use that information and properly embed it into a contact lens. But it definitely seems like a plausible method within the world of Psycho-Pass considering the other technological advances their society has made. Things I never thought I'd hear you say in a Psycho-Pass reaction, Romania: "Also the tower of the Public Safety Bureau, I'm just gonna say, looks like a giant dark blue dildo" 🤣🤣🤣

I was definitely in the mind palace mode as well – and considering I don’t think that makes Sherlock “insane,” I think it’s okay that Akane is channeling her admiration for Kogami to help her deduce what’s going on with Kamui. The entire circumstance is sort of bonkers any way, so it seems legit to think that way, haha!! 😀 Yessss, I also love we have this conversation now becoming: Is Sybil System about administering what it believes is “perfect justice” or just maintaining its status quo and saving face as an infallible system? It’s a nice branch off of season 1 and changes how Akane vs. Sybil is going. There’s definitely difference in how Akane and Mika approach their roles in authority and the show REALLY shows how Akane’s methods bear more fruit than Mika’s. I feel Ginoza was somewhere in between the Mika and Akane spectrum. And yeah, I definitely love Akane all the more for it, but it REALLY shows Mika as being perhaps more “relatable” but also more unsympathetic – I’m not sure this is the episode I compare her to an AOT character, but when we get there I’ll have more to say hahaha! Hinakawa is such a bean, though! No wonder Shion and Kunizuka have adopted him already! ;) I agree – Kagari’s loss made me hesitant to warm up to Hinakawa, but I just can’t help it! He’s too precious! The therapist reveal was very satisfying as I felt I was maybe being suspicious for no reason, but then there’s Togane, who confirms ALL the red flags haha!! And the show, I agree, it gives red herrings all over the place as well as pieces that it does not give you context to until it sees fit…how very Sybil System of the show! ;) That’s so interesting that it’s the opposite of the US where you have to sign up to organ donate. I mean, as long as someone can benefit from me, that works for me. 🙂I talked to a friend that’s going to school to be an audiologist the other day and there’s some REALLY interesting advancements in hearing technology and medicine that’s in the works, so that’s very interesting and hopeful to say the least! But yeah, meanwhile, my contributions to society is comparing the tower they’re all in to a giant blue dildo. I’ll take my que and go now, thank you. ;) Hahaha!! Thank you for the kind words and comment! Next up is “Rule of 8!” 😀
