**DADDIFIED HEADPHONE WARNINGS**  

Oh, oh friends -- "villain man" Kumai is intriguing, creepy, and mysterious, but so is our supposed allies in Togane, who has a VERY interesting tidbit thrown  to us and Akane is faced with the possibility she may be falling further into the darkness and insanity than we possibly believe!   

I am so fascinated by this season and ready to see what it's gonna give us!  BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT GINOZA FOR A FEW SECONDS, PLEASE?!

Loved the reaction & discussion! I really enjoy watching the reactions where you’re just suspicious of everyone for various reasons - who’s with whom and against whom and flirting with whom. (This is also my current experience with HOB – everyone is suspicious! Any slightly odd turn of phrase used deserves the magnifying glass.) 😂 I love this ep because even though there aren’t many different scenes, they are all so dense in terms of the interpersonal dynamics. Especially any scenes with Akane, to me - she is navigating such a complicated web with literally everyone, and it is different every time depending on who is in the room with her. I really feel for Akane, as well - among ALL the things she has to do and is trying to do, she is also trying to protect everyone and herself. And I’m definitely looking at any scenes with the Chief with new eyes on this rewatch after your S1 commentary. This has been a lot of fun for me! The palpable disappointment at Aoyanagi leaving that room was gold 😂 – darling Gino is taking his rightful place. 🥰 Looking forward to next week! 💙

I feel like every episode is Mona Lisa and Jean Ralphio Sapperstein whispering, “Don’t be suspicious,” while walking around on this set…or at least that’s the tune I imagine is playing in Togaen’s head this entire season so far! Hopefully, I’m proven wrong, but I love where you can’t tell if people are secret moles or not…and this season is making me question a LOT! And Oh ho ho, yesssss, HOB will take you on that ride too! I’m so glad you’ve started that series! 🙂 And yes, it’s not so much philosophy this season, but interpersonal “dynamics” like you said, and I’m all here for it! And Akane is literally balancing SO MUCH on her plate – how she’s STAYING sane is a testament to her character! And yesss, the Chief, now that we’ve had season 1 is SO intriguing; any time they’re on screen, I feel I need to be vigilant as well! RIGHT?! I GET why she couldn’t go further with him, with him being an enforcer and her an inspector and all that, but then the show had to twist the knife and show her right outside the door like she had regrets?! HOW DARE. Haha!! I JUST finished Episode 4 this morning and…uhm…yeah, it should be a “bloody” good time! ;) Thanks for the kind words and comment!
