What even IS this chapter set?! MXTX goes full on "Third Act Action Extravaganza!" As Xie Lian finds his friends being tempted by Jun Wu, Qi Rong running amok, and "Heavenly" Capital literally being turned into "Hell" in the sky!

-"You thought was a normal danmei story, but it was me, a mecha series!!🤖" that part is always fun, such a fever dream. -HC was probably thinking of a way to carry a lot of people at the same time when bringing the statue, but I doubt anyone could anticipate that the heavenly capital would turn into mazinger💀 -JW tempting the heavenly officials reminds me a bit of calamity Xie Lian "testing" the common people before releasing the human face disease 🤔 like he could kill any of them at any time, but instead he's more interested in proving a point -At this point XL has fully admitted that he knows there's no need to make out with HC to transfer spiritual powers, but maybe kissing became their little ritual to not just restore energy, but also reassurance and comfort💖 - When all the heavenly officials chant for JW to sink, it feels like that just reinforces JW's idea of being all alone and not needing anyone (which in turn makes all of them disposable 💀)

The discussion of Qi Rong becoming a Supreme made me imagine him coming out of the kiln being like in Lilo and Stitch when Stitch crash lands whilst Lilo is praying for a friend. Can just imagine Qi Rong standing there laughing maniacally 😂 Jun Wu going through Xie Lian's supporters to see if they'll betray him for their own sakes feels very much like he's trying to prove that Xie Lian and his friends/acquaintances are just like Jun Wu's friends from when he was the Crown Prince of Wuyong. To me, a lot of what he does is more to prove the point that the betrayal of his friends, people, and the other gods is just human nature and so of course it would all happen again to the person with a lot of similarities to him, and Xie Lian would walk the same path that Jun Wu did. But Xie Lian has only ever needed one person in order to not walk the path Jun Wu did, and time and time again that one person has appeared when he needed them the most. Hua Cheng knows how to make an entrance, whether that's with E'Ming against Jun Wu's neck or the statue of the Crown Prince of Xianle appearing in the Heavenly Realm. Also really reminds me of a favourite book series/TV show of mine called Outlander. Won't spoil but there is a moment that a character says to one of the 'villains' "I'll thank you to take your hands off my wife!" This moment between Hua Cheng, Xie Lian, and Jun Wu really gives me the same feeling as that scene 😂 I just love that even in this moment fraught with peril, Xie Lian is looking out for Quan Yizhen 🥺🥰 If you didn't love Mei Nianqing already, I feel like him talking to the Heavenly Officials (and not taking their BS) would definitely make you love his character 😂 Also love that he really pulled the elder card. Bet you didn't think going into this chapter set that you'd read the wackiest chase scene ever 😂 I don't know how they're going to do it, but a chase scene between one extra large Xie Lian statue and the entire Heavenly Capital is gonna be hilarious animated! Mo Xiang Tong Xiu really went "You know what this story needs? Mecha. Multiple buildings transforming into a giant! 😍" I fell like the craziest part is how it actually works with this story and doesn't feel all that out of place. Mo Xiang Tong Xiu really is a master of her craft to give us with just one line a new understanding and dimension to He Xuan and Hua Cheng's relationship. Romania: They used water gun. It was very effective. The bone dragons really are like He Xuan's Pokémon 😂 Just have to say that if this was a Marvel film then they'd be going to a very crowded city and causing so much damage instead 😆 The bone whip really does feel like Hua Cheng trying to toe around Xie Lian's potential kinks 🤣 I absolutely adore Mei Nianqing doesn't know Quan Yizhen and so calls him "Fluffy Child". Such a perfect nickname for our precious boy. Also I definitely feel like Quan Yizhen purposely chose to give Yin Yu's body to Mei Nianqing of all people. Potentially because he likes and trusts Xie Lian, and has seen during these chapters of madness that Guoshi is very much on Xie Lian's side. Such an evil place to end the chapter! For me I think the difference between Shi Wudu's actions with He Xuan and Shi Qingxuan, and Pei Ming with Pei Xiu is that Pei Ming wanted to cover up Pei Xiu's crime after it was discovered. We don't know if he had any knowledge of what Pei Xiu did at Banyue, only that he went into protect/cover-up mode after the fact. Any deaths in Banyue are on Pei Xiu's head. Whereas Shi Wudu knew what the consequences would be for He Xuan and his family when switching his fate with Shi Qingxuan. The deaths and pain He Xuan suffered are on Shi Wudu's hands.

HAHAHA I only know of that Dio meme for JJBA, so I appreciate that! I would have to respectfully disagree that JW tempting the HO's is like XL testing the common people, but I'll explain that in a future reaction. I do agree, he could kill them at any time, but he's trying to prove a point -- but he and XL could not be more DIFFERENT in their overall goals. I do love XL going to HC for comfort kisses! :3 That's so cute! And yes, I talked about that notion with JW in the discussion! Thanks for the comment and kind words!

AHAHAHA – Qi Rong WOULD be like Stitch, laughing maniacally! I LOVE that! I can see that about JW – I’ll definitely talk about that with a future reaction! Ohhh, I have a friend that LOVES Outlander! I may have to put that series on my list! Nice! And yes, even at this moment, XL is making sure Qi Ying is okay! @.@ MNQ is a grumpy elder who froze his body using Demi Moore’s cryogenic freezing, so he looks 27, hahahaha!! But yes, WHAT a WACKY and WEIRD chapter set?! I honestly don’t know if the donghua is going to do it credit! And yes, it somehow FITS and you just go, “Okay. Let’s go!” 😛 I need a Pokemon AU with HOB – all the HO’s as gym leaders would be hilarious; imagining Pei Ming’s gym and it’s surrounded by female trainers leading up to him. 😛 That’s a funny point about the Marvel comparison! XD And YES – HC: “SO….are we….OKAY with the whips? Are these….ACCEPTABLE, GEGE?!” MNQ calling QY “Fluffy Child” is the MOST PRECIOUS. And that makes senes that he notices XL comfortable around MNQ so he felt it was okay for him to have it…or…he sensed MNQ was the oldest on the statue and by simple logic, the most responsible, hahaha!! What a cliffhanger, right?! And that’s a great point on the difference between SW and PM! Nice! Thank you for that and the kind words and comment!
