I don't have much to add so let me just say, this chapter set was such a fun roller coaster! I am a rabid dog for Hua Cheng lore and it was so fun watching Mei Nianqing lecture Xie Lian like a surrogate parent; "Idc that you're dating a man, but really? *this man*??" Qi Rong is such a good character because he always lightens things up, I really missed seeing him around!

Well, at least we get most of the questions answered...... MNQ is unintentionally being a gremlin, he basically tear down the closet door, drag XL out and shout at him:"stop being in the closet and STOP DATING A GHOST KING!" Since XL's biological parents are both dead hundreds of years ago and until now there's no sign of them returning as ghosts or spirits or whatever, so MNQ as the guoshi of XianLe and respected tutor to XL, is the closest thing HC has as a father-in-law(if we crackship him with JW who's actually also a father figure to XL before all the BWX craziness, he can be seen as mother-in-law maybe). Guess we can conclude that even in fantasy worlds, the relationship with your in-laws is troublesome...... Luckily MNQ didn't also get thrown down the volcano by JW......imagine the four guoshi of WuYong playing cards on JW's face and MNQ throwing tantrums when losing the game, it's going to be so chaotic. JW: now listen up XL, question 1: how do you deal PM's old lover? question 2: how do you handle the shady business of PM's decendant? question 3 is a field one, you'll need to meddle in the revenge of black water, btw I'll send PM with you, he'll be responsible for coffin-making while the entire story took place. PM: are you sure these questions are targeting him, not me?! LW is just the the perfect employee of heavely realm, before the whole brocade immortal event she's working non-stop, when the entire heaven went into chaos and her joining the evil side, she's still working nonstop, now even after being captured and turned into a doll by opponents, her major concern is still the sanity problems of her palace......whatever outcome between team JW and team XL, they better give her a raise. "QYZ doesn't want to talk and throws a QYZ at you".gif Ming Guang palace is having a deadly twister game, and it's one big soap opera with the summary along the lines like 'when the enemies of ancestor from long time ago come back and seeking revenge, it's up to this young couple to hold the family together, and balancing the scale between justice and bloodties, what'll happen next when the evil mastermind brings his dark offer...... ' yes I'm talking about Pei Su and Ban Yue, this ship need to sail safe and sound.

Right?! What a roller coaster! And MNQ being like the relative that's like, "HIM? The most bad boy of the bad boys?!" And XL shyly is all, "Yeahhhhhhh and?" it's so cute! And YES, Qi Rong adds such delight in his chaos; I had missed him too! Thank you for the kind words and comment!

Right?! Lots of answers and MNQ is basically that uncle that’s like, “No, whipper snapper…now’s not the time for your bad boy era,” and XL’s like, “TOO LATE!” XD UGH, It’s definitely a good thing that MNQ didn’t get thrown in that volcano too! How could he make out with Jun Wu then– I mean – Well? We’ll see maybe?! I’m not crack shipping, I SWEAR. Man, when you put it like that, it DOES make it seem like JW has been slowly whittling down Pei Ming this entire time, doesn’t it? It’s admirable that LW doesn’t give up on her day job just because the boss decided to make the workplace a possible apocalypse. It’s almost like she really doesn’t care that her boss is potentially going to destroy the world; she ain’t got time to take a sick day! Quan Yizhen, I love him so much. And the idea that Pei Ming’s palace is a giant Twister game is hilarious! Poor PM! Thank you for the comment and kind words!
