This episode is a mixture of cuteness, comedy, adventure, adding in a deadly dose of gay sex innuendo with a tiny bit of angst flashbacks. Just bring on more! I bet HC has two dozen surveillance butterflies hiding away to spy on XL, so the moment our cinnamon roll got into trouble the wanning moon officer appears and be like 'this is the distinguished guest of the ghost king, you don't want to mess with him' and it's hilarious that it took YY like less than 30 seconds to get the bandage boy, he does need a raise. Funny thing is the relationship progress of Hualian goes backwords, they got married first, then go live together, then XL first visits HC's house, and the confession is like more than 100 chapters later...... I went back to check, the book says it is a black jade 'Ta', which is one kind of big chair that you can either sit or lay down on it. In most cases you place a small table on it for the teacups etc, and have you and your guest sitting on either side to chat. In the book it's big enough for a dozen people but still it's supposed to be a chair not a bed......And what's with the bedsheets being all dark green while the decorations in the entire manor are mostly red? Did QR sabotage the inner decoration here? HC the moment XL arrives: knocks the gold foil palace down like a cat knocking down stuff from table Baby XL! Must protect! HC: My blade is famous for being a cursed weapon forged with blood and death...... XL: ok, so can I pet it now? But seriously, given this standard, Ruoye's a very cursed weapon, so XL already has spent a fair share of time with this kind of thing, no big deal. The other thing I don't really like about this episode is they don't even bother to have a scene with a proper table to hold the feast? You have all the pretty girls arriving with food and drinks but instead of putting them down so the host and guests can enjoy they just carry them away in 5 seconds?

RIGHT?! This episode had it ALL! Should we be surprised, though? Ahhh, when you say it like that - it would make sense that HC has all these surveillance butterflies to make sure his gege is always safe, but yes, YY needs a raise! And a paid vacation! It really is a love story in reverse with them, isn’t it? I kind of love that, though! Ahhhh, so it was a chair instead of a bed – and yes! Was it QR who sabotaged the decorations? The Wind Master? The Earth master? That’s actually really funny; maybe the animation team thought there was TOO MUCH red in the room! ;) I thought the EXACT same that HC was like a cat knocking down things from the table with the golden foil palace. Baby XL MUST. BE. PROTECTED. That is true, though, with all the time XL has spent with Ruoye, E’Ming is nothing threatening to him. The dinner scene was ALSO in true Beauty and the Beast fashion – didn’t you know? It’s literally like “Be Our Guest.” 😛 Thank you for the comment and kind words!

Finally seeing E'ming animated is everything! <3 He's a bit more chibi than the creepy-cute Staremeber version but still so puppy-like <3 I can imagine hua cheng standing there like "dont move dont move dont move dont move" I would love to re-read the entire story from his perspective. + the "cosy nest" makes me think hua cheng has been nesting for like 800 years like a hen
