**PARALLELED HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

Ohhhh, Isayama is just doing amazing with this "Marley" arc and Reiner became one of my favorite characters around this in the anime and this volume cements it for me in the manga!

The parallels with him and Eren, the contrast of the Marley vs. Paradis "trio," the build up with Falco's friendship with "Mr. Kruger," and the lead up to the end of this volume was just *CHEF'S KISS* -- I loved it so much and can't wait to talk with you all about it!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

So i was kind of on the right track, keeping it in the same bloodline makes memory transfer easier which i guess can be useful for the military, free training and education. I still think it can be that certain bloodlines/genetic traits can be better at manifesting titans (and their abilities), we still have Ymir that didn't seem particulary suited to using the Jaw. Might also explain the Female Titan, any man could take it but their manifestation of it would perhaps be less then ideal. I wish the extra stuff we got with Annie, Bertholdt and Reiner, when they broke down the wall, was in the anime too. There it almost seemed like Annie wasn't a part of it at all, and here we also saw how haphazardly this plan was cobbled together by a bunch of frightened kids. It was dangerous to them too and the only reason it didn't end bad for them, and why Bertholdt survived, was just because Dina were much more focused on that flossy Carla that stole her man, rather than how tasty Bertholdt might be. Think i remember in the anime (and or manga?) Floch mentioning them all going through training together, i just think he never saw action before the mission to retake wall Maria. Perhaps he just got a very cushy posting... before his life took a turn, but not 100% sure about this. Are the 5 years our Warriors spent on the island, looking for the Founding Titan, a bit of a plot hole? It didn't seem they had any contact with Marley during that time and wouldn't Marley have surmised that the plan had failed way earlier? We know Marley got attacked shortly after they lost at Shiganshina, but in some ways all those four titans sent to island were already lost during those years. So not sure what confirmation, to the rest of the world, that battle would have been over the already present absence of the titans for all those years. It is just like Armin says, there is no one person that is "good" for everyone. Magath and Tybur is just another couple of guys in a long list of guys trying to the the "right" thing, at the expense of another group of people. King Fritz who fled to the walls sacrificed his own people and their freedom in order to save the world from the tyranny they inflicted on it. Zeke wants to sacrifice the future of all Eldians to save the rest of the world from titans. Eren is instead sacrificing the whole world to save the people he love. "Our" group of Scouts and Warriors are sacrificing former friends and comrades in order to save that very world that wants them exterminated... and Magath and Tybur wanted to sacrifice the Eldians on the island to raise the standing of all Eldian outside of Paradis, and to save the world to boot. It's hard to find a plan that is "good" for everyone here.

Yeah, it does make sense with the "family" and memory connection with the Warrior camp; which still begs the question of why they had the "draft" if they had specific families in mind to begin with, but it could be that it was to try and weed out families like Grisha's and the restorationists. I agree -- the RAB content was SO important to establish how these "were just kids" and not the expert "warriors" necessarily that we thought at the beginning. It's so tragic to see their "actual" involvement. That's also interesting about Floch; it makes sense -- it's just weird to think that porcupine hair wasn't noticeable back with Shadis in the beginning of the series. ;) Yeah, the lack of contact and 5 YEARS on Paradis without contact with Marley is...intriguing...I'm not sure how their other missions have been in comparison. They were at war with the group we start Vol. 23 with for four years, so maybe it's just expected? And THANK YOU -- next week -- I do try to justify what Willy was doing and talking about it affecting the future, but the comment from Armin here is pretty much what I needed to hear! I'll have to note that for Volume 26! Thank you for that and the comment!
