Oh, this episode had my HEART! Jean-Jaques and Jeanne fighting to save Chloe's life, Vanitas going above and beyond (maybe to the point of no return?), Noe realizing Astolfo's past and Roland's connection to it, and the entirety of this mini arc coming to its climax and resolution!  

The EMOTION! The ROMANCE! THE MULTI-SHIPPING! Okay, y'all -- ya got me. Can we just make Noe, Vanitas, and Jeanne an OT3 at this point?

I only ship Vani & Jeanne bcs they love each other, whereas with Noe it's a platonic relationship instead of a romance one

I mean, as I said in the discussion, it's all subjective. I won't judge anyone for shipping Vanitas and Jeanne, but I can just as easily comment on how Noe and Vanitas can be a romantic ship as well for different reasons, like Gin noted in the introduction of this video! I definitely ship both romantically, since there is (at this point) no canon distinction. :) Thanks for the comment!

Great reaction and discussion!!! And YEYYYY you are finally on the VanitasxJeanne bandwagon!! Multishipping truly for the win!! This is the first time we saw Vanitas internal process as he heals vampires! I wonder if he always hears the voice of Blue Vampire when he uses the book. Love the relationship between Noa and Vanitas, its healthy. I love every single time there is some miscommunication between them, they just take a moment for themselves to think it over and then come back to have a thoughtful discussion about it. Noe especially. I love how emotionally mature Noe is. Even thought he can be very absentminded and naive, he has the emotional intelligence so high it could reach the sky. It might be my favorite thing about Noe and his relationship with Vanitas JJ and Cloe are just so adorable together! They would do anything for each other and it shows. Also, this is the episode that made me ship a new ship XD Thats scene of JJ and Jeanne reaching out to take Cloe from the cage has made me ship JJxCloexJeanne XD Astolpho is such a tragic character. I was so sad when I realized that he was having trauma induced flashbacks. I guess his mind just couldn't handle the onslaught of Naenia's attack, the drugs he took and then in the end, Roland appearing before him. Roland was probably the final nail, as he was the one who saved Astolpho in the past so seeing him there must have make his brain finally regress to the time his family died. As always, looove every single appearance of Roland. He is such a good character!! Not you saying "Unless you think love is a curse" and me immediately thinking about JJK and the "there is no curse more twisted than love" XDD

Hahaha, it took me a while, but YES! Like you noted in the previous comment, the two ships represent VERY different romance tropes, but I’m here for both! That is a cool note; does he hear the BMV’s voice as he heals them? That’s a cool note! I appreciate with Noe that he IS communicative and emotionally mature, despite his naivete! JJ and Chloe are precious and I would do anything for them! OTP for the win! I’ll even take an OT3 with JJxChloexJeanne, too! It’s Chloe and two Jeanne’s! 😛 I love it! Astolfo having the tragic backstory makes things all the sadder for where his mindset is now. Yeah, I felt so bad for his breakdown and how he’s gotten to this point. 🙁But also, ROLAND. He is such a best boy and I love him every time he pops up as well, too! AHAHAHA, oh, is it fate I’m watching JJK with the “Love is a curse” the same time I’m watching this show?
