**IMMORTAL HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

So far, THIS is my favorite episode! I LOVED this -- the mystery with Zodd, the horror of Guts with his first encounter of the supernatural, the intrigue with Griffith and the behelit, and the "sharpening" of our  would-be "love triangle"...

...it was a non-stop punch after punch of greatness and I am so hyped for where it's going to lead us! I can't wait to talk about ZODD with you all!

A mere Almond

The Berserk community has memed the "put your glasses on" line from the song. It's common for Berserk fans to say "put your grasses on" imitating the Japanese accent of the singers. It's the community's humorous way to tell someone "You need to change your perspective" / "you are not seeing things clearly". You mentioned Nosferatu in one of the earlier Berserk videos. I had to stop myself from spoiling lol. Here is the next episode preview from episode 5 "In this world there are certain things that exist beyond human knowledge. Humans worship such things as Gods or fear them as devils. Distress, fear, blood and screams. Perhaps it is fate that leads one to such things."

A mere Almond

I just thought about the lyrics to the intro just now. I am not sure how good my interpretation is, but I think I did a good job. Its actually a very sad song that is being masqueraded by its upbeat sounds. Its about a naive person telling someone to think positive. Look at a different perspective. Then this person says (I am paraphrasing) "don't let your negative outlook hold you back. Find the words and share with me what you want and how you feel" But the response they get is "I can't get it off" And then the naive person is saying "I don't know why you are afraid. Tell me." But its too late. The opportunity to make that emotional connection was missed. Technically this "naive person" is correct and giving good advice. But the giveaway line for me is "even mother will show you another way". We know that Guts' mother was dead even before his birth. and they actually show the tree where Guts' mother was hung, and where Guts was born. And of course, we also know that Guts endured even more hardships throughout his life. So how can you say these kinds of things so easily to someone like Guts? So to summarize, I think the moral of the song is that you don't know what other people have gone through. And those things can hold them back from revealing how they really feel or taking action on their inner truth. And because of this, they often miss out on positive opportunities.

Wow, I actually LOVE this interpretation a LOT! It makes sense that like many 90's upbeat alt. rock songs, it SOUNDS happy but has an often melancholy meaning behind it -- this is great, Almond! It may be a little bit since I'm recording ahead before I get to this comment in my discussions but I will DEFINITELY point it out! :) Thank you for the kind words and interpretation, here! :D
