**REGRETTABLE HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

We're taking a slight "break" this week and before moving into the Season 3 part 2 manga content, checking out the manga version of "No Regrets!"

Not only was there the main story, some extra stories, but a really neat interview with Isayama himself! This was a nice treat to round out our expansion of Levi's character...before it's REALLY tested in the second half of season 3!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

I don't know if you went back and watched the OVA but if you did these points will be moot. Now, it has also been quite some time since i watched the OVA so my recollection might be off but i'm quite sure Hange didn't directly interact with Levi, Farlan and/or Isabel and we just saw her being excited at the side lines. What definitely wasn't in the OVA was showing the deaths of Isabel and Farlan, so you hadn't forgotten that, there Levi just returns and finds the aftermath. Also, in the OVA it always felt a bit weird to me when Erwin chastised Levi for using to much movement/gas on his first titan kill when it seemed quite efficient. Here it seemed more like that point could be made but instead Erwin just looks pleased, maybe i need to make some combination of the OVA and manga here so that it makes morse sense to me. :P On that point i think there is quite the different vibe to the Erwin/Levi dynamic here, in the OVA it seemes everything Erwin says and does enrages Levi until the very end when Erwin reveals he knew everything and Levi just surrenders to Erwins 4d chess skills and devotes his heart and soul to this... (intellectually) superior man. In the manga it seems more like Levi glimpsed things in Erwin throughout that made him hesitate which gave Erwin the opening to get that critical success on his charisma roll. And as much as i sometimes can can rag on Levis OP-ness it makes more sense here with Erwin on his knees, blade at throat (well shoulder), rather than Erwin just grabbing Levi's blade and Miche restraining him. Sure you can argue that Levi was all out of energy after going ham on that abnormal but still.

Ahhhh, okay; it HAS been a while since I've seen the OVA, so Hange not being in the OVA like they are in the manga makes sense, and now I can't decide whether it's worse that Levi just showed up to their massacred bodies or got to witness them die here...though, pulling Farlan's half-eaten body out of a titan is pretty...disturbing. I was talking to someone else in the comments on YT, but I feel Erwin in the OVA is more like him from season 1 and the manga is more like Erwin we know by season 3, when we've had more time to see his layers and he's not "as" mysterious (I think this seemed to have come out around season 3 time). And yes, I appreciate the Levi OP'ness and how it was handled in the manga, here -- thank you for the comment! I'll have to bring up the Manga vs OVA notes on this in a later discussion! :D :D I'm glad that at least I have the "whole" picture of No Regrets, now, manga and anime! Now back to our regularly scheduled trauma!
