As I start the remainder of Audio Dramas for Kuroko's Basketball, I'm finishing off the final Season 1 audio drama and three for Season 2! Getting more with the GoM, Imayoshi (and KASAMATSU), and both Murisakibara and Himuro together was a TREAT!

I just knew with the music and Kuroko's soft voice that Aomine and Murasakibara would fall asleep, but I thought Kise might be with them! I laughed so hard at Kise's idea of making it into a horror 🤣 Aomine being all about presenting a tough image. Midorima's all about Oha Asa of course. Murasakibara being so passionate about his snacks 🥺🥰 I have realised with this first audio drama that Aomine could have a conversation with Hinata and Inuoka. Also how much they can hurt me with something like "Basketball with Tetsu is fun" 😭 I love Aomine setting Murasakibara on Kise and Kise managing to bribe him with karaage. I nearly choked on that "men are all about the meat" 🤣🤣🤣 I do adore Murasakibara clapping and being so proud of Kuroko even though he didn't hear one word of what Kuroko said. And then Akashi helping Kuroko get them back and gain attention for the basketball team. Imayoshi's audio drama was fun to help edit. Also I like that we finally got a bit with the potential danger of playing sports with glasses on 🤣 For Sakurai and Wakamatsu's interaction on the train it could be that they don't know each other very well, but also just because of Sakurai's general personality it could be awkward with them being together on their own. Wakamatsu is a Second Year; Sakurai a First Year; and Kasamatsu is both their senpai as a Third Year. You gotta love that Sakurai not only has Touou's entire schedule wrote down, but he also knows 'important' dates such as the release of Aomine's magazines 🤣 Kasamatsu's analysis of Touou just making me love him as a captain all the more. And him also calling Imayoshi out for doing all of it just to have some fun with Wakamatsu and Sakurai. But I also think he used it as a way to get them out of their comfort zones and see that they can do those kinds of things without a senpai's help (which they'll have to do when the Third Years retire). The music when Imayoshi asks Hyuuga to hang out is just so dramatic and fits Imayoshi's sly side so much! It's interesting to see how nervous Sakurai and Wakamatsu were around each other on the train ride to Kaijo, but on the way back they're a lot closer. Sakurai isn't apologising or stuttering but geeking out over what they saw at Kaijo. I *love* their imagining of if Kasamatsu was the captain of Touou, or if Imayoshi was more like Kasamatsu's direct way. It really does show you that the captain's personality can have such a big effect on the rest of the team. I had fun helping edit this one too. It's fun seeing Alex's observations and analysis of baby Himuro and Kagami and their progression 🥺 To be fair to Kagami, a grown woman just randomly grinning when there doesn't seem to be anything to make her smile that way would seem creepy to a kid 😂 I knew you'd make the same observation as me for Himuro liking sour stuff and Murasakibara mostly liking sweet things. But that moment is the cutest that Kagami gives up all his pickles to Himuro 🥺 Also cool finding out how spontaneous Alex can be...helps explain her sudden appearance at Kagami's place in the show. Thought only the Teiko Arc could hurt? This audio drama of Kagami, Himuro and Alex in America has little slithers of pain. I do like how Alex approached the situation to help Himuro realise what he'd done. But that such a thing is okay. I *love* the two completely different ways that Himuro and Kagami point out Alex's lack of clothing. Himuro has a full blown conversation and then tries to subtly point it out before just telling her to get dressed, completely unphased. Kagami, however, upon noticing is immediately very loud about his unhappiness regarding the situation. Himuro has Murasakibara wrapped around his little finger! 🤣 Maibou is a brand of corn snack. It's so interesting getting to hear so much more of Fukui; the voice is definitely very different from most of the other roles I've heard Ishikawa Kaito do. It's also cute to find out all their different styles for taking notes. Says a lot about their individual characters I feel. Murasakibara is treated like such a child within Yosen and I love it. Akashi and Midorima as captain and vice-captain for Teiko really feel like the parents of the Generation of Miracles with how they look after them and make sure they study. Midorima also sounded like he nearly died at Murasakibara wanting the easy way so I just imagine him actually dropping to the ground in shock after realising Murasakibara was actually remembering the contents of their classes. Fukui needing stories about the Generation of Miracles being goofs so as not to imagine them as these perfect beings/monsters. Also his comment about not understanding Middle School students...I feel that a lot the older I get 🤣 With the music in the background for the snack experimentation I was mentally screaming to Murasakibara "Run for your life!" I was relieved for him too that they ended up okay. But then they just kept going 😂 Midorima and Akashi really sound like they're threatening Murasakibara to try it. As a teacher I'm sure Murasakibara's "studying" method frustrates you all the more. Honestly love how Himuro is just completely accepting of everything to do with Murasakibara...until a point. Loved him reaching his breaking point and Himuro just destroying Murasakibara's snacks. The audio dramas are pretty long so it is a lot of sitting and listening. Would splitting them up more for how you record them help any? Don't want your pain being/getting worse with sitting for so long listening to the Kuroko no Basuke extra stuff.

That “basketball with Tetsu is fun” line is just the series pouring salt into an open wound, isn’t it? This was a very interesting occasion where we get to see Akashi not only helping Kuroko but also being kind of a troll! I actually enjoyed that a lot. I hadn’t thought about that dynamic with Sakurai and Wakamatsu and all those factors, but that’s very true! Sakurai is like Nabe from Ace of the Diamond – only in a constant state of terror, hahaha! If Sakurai and Momoi combined, I guess you’d have Nabe! 😛It was a nice preview of Wakamatsu as becoming the future captain for the team! 🙂The imagining of Kasamatsu “handling” Aomine was HILARIOUS. And yeah, probably a good thing he stuck with Kise. I love all the little things we got with Alex, Himuro, and Kagami in this audio drama – seeing how all three are different but tied together SO has the “found family” vibes to it – with Alex like their big sister and the two brothers handling her antics in different ways! :3 And OH, does Himuro have Murisakibara around his little finger; it’s almost hilarious! Ohhhhh, that’s good to know about Maibou; thank you! Midorima’s shock at Murisakibara reminds me a lot of Hyuuga when Kagami scored higher than him on the exams, hahaha! And HA, the older I get the less I relate as wellllll! And yes, as a teacher, I just want to cock my head at Muri like Midorima hahaha, but I’m glad it works out for him! 😛 Thank you for the kind words and suggestions! I will say this, the next set I did was four and they were SO GOOD that I didn’t even notice and it was longer than this video, so maybe it’s just that day and the contents? I’ll try to play it by ear as we go, but thank you for the suggestion and caring – I cannot WAIT for this coming week; it’s going to be so much fun! :) Thank you for the kind words and comment!
