These songs were GREAT, especially "Deep Fight" and a few of the others whose melodies are still stuck in my head! I really enjoyed these gems and I'm so excited for the movie now! I hope you all enjoy!

Poppy kinds of songs are definitely very suited to Kise's character. Morita Masakazu has a very soft voice for what the lyrics are saying. It's really like if a Limp Bizkit song was sang by someone like John Denver. The beats for both his songs remind me of my grunge phase 😂 We just need a Kuroko no Basuke musical at this point, right? 🤣 His laugh though in that second song sounds like he's been watching too many classic horror movies. "I am absolute" really feels like such a villain's monologue for Akashi's monologue. Rave music wasn't what you expected for Akashi? 🤣 Kamiya Hiroshi is not a bad singer. I did laugh at you commenting about Erwin and Levi. Thought you might like their song with Takao. See now that second monologue would have been so great in the show for giving a bit more meaning to why Akashi reacted the way he did when Ogiwara asked him about liking basketball. So the chibi version is his Alice in Wonderland character, which of course he's the 'king' of hearts. I'm glad my choice of visuals helped distinguish that Double Core shows the two sides within him and their individual thoughts. Your Membership for me the beat sounds like something from a shoujo Opening 😂 But it is such a sweet song for them declaring that they're rivals. Not how you typically declare a rivalry but it fits for both characters. I got informed by a Japanese viewer that some of the English lyrics to them sound like 'meat pie' 🤣 I do love their little mini rap break. Deep Fight is such a bop, and so catchy. It's very energetic, and they harmonise so dang well together. Akashi just 'introduces' each of them and then sings in the chorus with them. I wasn't sure if he did and had to listen to it over and over to be able to tell if he did or not. Resignation it was much easier to pick up his voice in the chorus. I love the second instrumental for Resignation; I'm a sucker for a good guitar riff. OnoKen and Kamiya Hiroshi's voices pair so well together. I was already crazy impressed with so many of these seiyuu for their voice acting, but their ability to change their singing voice to match who they're singing with and retain their character's voice too is just on a whole other level. Return definitely helps you get a bit more of Akashi after his defeat that was missing in the show. Kasamatsu trying to take care of Kise 🥺 And Kise realising his love for basketball again. That whole monologue just sends my KasaKi heart soaring. Though Kasamatsu using "brat" affectionately may be my favourite thing. Whilst Aomine is my favourite of the Generation of Miracles, Kaijou is my favourite team (even over Seirin). Glory Blue intro to me just gave me Nelly flashbacks 🤣 We get a KasaKi ballad! 🥰 Don't have to convince me too hard that it's a love song between them. I see the mentions of the rest of Kaijou as the rest of the team being supportive of them. I'm really imagining a Kuroko no Basuke musical with Kise and Kasamatsu on the court lit up with a spotlight and the rest in darkness as they sing this to one another and dance. Gotta finish off the duets with Kagami and Kuroko reminiscing. Also them taking a breather I'm totally imaging them sitting next to one another (like Ritsuka and Mafuyu when Mafuyu fell asleep at practice). Kagami's laugh is truly so pure and wholesome sounding. Ono Yuuki's singing voice has that rougher quality in comparison to Kuroko and Kise. And we get a KagaKuro ballad too 🥺🥰 But it's just like KasaKi with the teammates 🤣 Is this the new "no homo"? 🤣 If there's only one mention of teammates I feel like it's definitely a love ballad about their future, especially when the only mention is in regards to them all having cried over their losses together. Also "our path continues on" can hold such a different meaning after the movie: further hope that KagaKuro will survive the distance between them. Sadly their non-chibi forms would not go through a background remover easily, so you get chibis instead 🤣 Midorima can't help but look after Murasakibara even in this little drama. Regal Generations is definitely before the pain of the Teiko arc sets in! The harmonies whilst amazing left me having to listen over and over to be able to tell who was singing when 😅 But I do love this song. It is very bittersweet with how hopeful they all are, and how they're all about the team, because of how they splintered. Out of these I'd definitely have to say my top five are: 1. Deep Fight 2. Regal Generation 3. Glory Blue 4. Soshite Korekara 5. Return, or Tyrant Looking forward to the movie reaction as well as the two little bloopers and the song next week!

I agree – Kise’s character definitely is suited for pop songs! “A Limp Bizkit song sang by John Denver!” BAHAHAHAHA! That’s an image I don’t know if I will ever get out of my head, now! I’m honestly surprised at this point that there isn’t a musical – is there a stage show? The Double-Core visuals DEFINITELY helped! 🙂But yes, the second monologue does connect more to that Ogiwara moment - and I was NOT expecting rave music for Akashi, but I will agree that Kamiya can SING and he impressed me a lot – with the cadence of his voice acting, I wasn’t - for whatever reason - expecting him to have the range that he did. Your Membership DEFINITELY has the Shojo vibes! And for it being a “rival” song? I mean…it’s Kise, so…yes. ^^ MEAT PIE! 😛Deep Fight, though, is SUUUUUCH a bop; I really love it! There are just so many elements that WORK and yes, Kamiya and Ono Kensho are just really good together - Levi and Floch, huh? Who knew. Maybe these monologues and songs should have just been put in the anime? That would have helped, although, I would have loved to have seen everyone’s faces when Akashi just bursts into song post-losing – they probably would have thought, “Welp, this is it, then, huh?” XD I love the “care” that Kasamatsu and Kise have in their songs; it’s very, very sweet! And the “affectionate brat” tone is just *chef’s kiss* - My Shipper Heart was very happy. GLORY BLUE! And YES! NELLY FLASHBACKS! It’s basically a love ballad. Has to be. Hahaha that visual you put down is basically it! Kagami’s laugh is just SO wholesome; I love it, so! And SERIOUSLY – at this point, I’m convinced “teammates” is the new “no homo” tagline – it just feels like it if it’s only mentioned once in a basic love ballad about their futures…yup. Seems like it could be. And yes, “Our Path Continues,” I’m holding that as a reason for them to work long distance after the movie! Keep pouring that hope on everything, AnimeAnnie! 😀 The chibis work fine, of course! 🙂 And yes, the bittersweetness mixed with the oh so good harmonies! 🙂I can get behind all of those song choices for your top 5! 🙂Thank you so much for the comment and yessss, the movie and song (and blooper - literally nearly forgot it, but I remembered last minute hahaha) next week! :)
