**MAJOR HEADPHONE WARNINGS!!**  

I am STUNNED with how we went from a simple chase by some misguided monks and cultivators, to a "SHADY" Inn in the woods that seems to just be run by some funky ghosts, and then turns out to be run by THE GREEN GHOST WITH THE MOST! The absolute CHAOS that follows is insane and I'm just barely hanging on for the ride!

ah yes! /these/ chapters! chaotic and hilarious, i have to wonder how MXTX comes up with this stuff?? Also XL putting a knife in QR mouth?? oh mah god... i love it. and HC comforting XL about his cooking LOL You're so right about the layer of comfortability XL has around HC now that he's in kid form, XL fawns over him like you would an adorable child (which HC is) and its almost like a little safety blanket for XL cuz he's not staring at a 7ft hot ghost guy but a kid with expressions that are way too serious for his face LMAO.

The chaotic beginning of volume 5 let's go! The cross-dressing choice of XL: bride-pregnant woman-woman with child/husbando, dude literally let go of himself and don't even hesitate at the idea of using a bare shoulder to distract the enemies. And IIRC, that silver necklace's not from his cursed shackle but for the ring given by HC. But either way it's still a splendid view and my horny side is already looking up for fanfics...... Also, I went to check these chapters, according to QR's minion waiters that FY is alone when checking-in ("we don't have a Taoist with a kid, but a Taoist who's all by himself"), so it seems like he and LC just happened to choose the same inn, so FY may just be annoyed by the mobs so he flings a talisman at them rather than wanting to shield the ghost woman and her ghost baby. Typical entering method of martial gods: door, what door? Why bother when you can just kick a hole in the wall to enter? It's quite hilarious for me when reading about HC poking a hole through the floor for XL to overhear the cultivators, because in CN tv shows that has a setting in ancient China, we constantly have people poking holes on windows (because at that time we don't have enough glass yet so usually windows use thick layers of paper) and this trope is so often that one running joke is that all the windows of main characters must be filled with holes because they're all spying on each other every other day. And here HC just does basically the same thing, but as a ghost king he's able to poke through wood, so……kudos to the powerful supreme. And regarding what MQ's done regarding the fetus spirit, I recall having another theory when first time reading this (if you consider it a might-be-spoiler please ignore the rest of this comment): -------------theory here--------------- I think MQ is once told to cover up the shady business of another heavenly official who's truly responsible for the fetus spirit and the only heavenly official that's qualified is JW because he's of higher rank than MQ who's already a mighty martial god ruling one side of the human realm with FX, and if MQ didn't obey he may having infinite hard time with his boss so he has to do it. And this time the fetus spirit recognized MQ, and JW didn't show any sign of wanting to pull him out of the mess, so dude can only run away. And FY, as MQ's deputy god who's worked with XL, got some of the crown prince's 'persistency regarding corruption revelation' rubbed onto him so he also sneaked out to find the fetus and the ghost woman to prove the truth even if it means revealing the whole truth.

What I want to know is how Xie Lian knows the perfect angle to show to make himself look womanly, especially when he manages to set up the sight so swiftly. Hua Cheng poking a hole in the floor for them to peek at the mob of Cultivators I feel is a very child-like action. A very throwaway motion but, after Xie Lian's thoughts about Hua Cheng's behaviour seeming to have regressed in parts to being more similar with a child of that age in the previous set, it definitely reads to me as more evidence to support that it isn't just a different form but rather Hua Cheng has in some part become a child again. Poor Xie Lian, giving credit to Heaven's Eye only for him to just be fastidious about food hygiene standards. I'm awful but I did laugh at you nearly gagging over the description of the state of the food being served. Gotta love that Pei Ming's reputation proceeds him so well that if the Heavenly Realm had seen that Lan Chang was as pretty as she is under all the make-up, no amount of protests from the man himself would make all the heavenly officials believe him. It's really interesting to see Qi Rong cooking. Yes his beginnings were not as pampered as Xie Lian, but it's unlikely that as a toddler he was doing much cooking. So for most of his life he would have been raised with servants doing such menial work. Also, a little cannibalism is sure to increase the inn's food hygiene rating! Gotta love Mo Xiang Tong Xiu including poor part-time workers in the service industry in her story about gods and ghosts. Little Hua Cheng building his gold foil palace is the meme of everything burning and the dog being all "This is fine". Absolute chaos, but it's also hilarious and a nice detox I feel from some of the heavier stuff in previous chapters (along with all the murder and cannibalism in this episode...which is it technically cannibalism for Qi Rong to eat mortals considering he's now a ghost, or does it count as cannibalism because he's currently possessing a mortal?). Yes, you're right Fu Yao is Mu Qing's deputy and Nang Feng is Feng Xin's deputy.

SERIOUSLY, how does MXTX come up with all this?! It's insane -- I just love the creativity and comedy in this set! Oh, and the CHAOS! Qi Rong and Hua Cheng stole the show these chapters! And yes, it's a lot less intimidating when you don't have a 7 ft hot ghost king over you but a small, adorable version of him instead! So true! Thank you for the comment!

SUCH chaos! I can’t y’all! It’s so crazy to see Xie Lian just come out and be the woman in that moment to distract the monks – and yesssss, I’m going to talk about the ring in the next discussion! :) And yes, WHAT DOOR? Just kick it in! :) That’s really cute about HC poking the holes and it being something culturally related. And yes, I appreciate you spoiler tagging! I’m not reading theories yet, because I want to avoid any possible spoilers for the future! 🙂So thank you for the comment! I can’t wait for the next set!

HAHAHAH, yeah, how does he know that?! I do appreciate Xie Lian getting bolder, though! Oooh, if Hua Cheng HAS retained some childlike attitude, that is rather interesting! That’s a good theory, too! And yes, for some reason, food gets me grossed out with stuff like that! I’m glad y’all got some enjoyment out of that though, hahaha! I don’t know if I should take the Pei Ming Lan Chang thing as an insult or a compliment, honestly, hahaha! But Yessss, that’s VERY interesting to note about Qi Rong and his “upbringing” with cooking, too! Hm. And of course MXTX putting in the realistic angle about the service industry into this fantasy story! Good to know that about Fu Yao and yes, this set of chapters was UTTER INSANITY but I cannot wait to see what this volume has in store – if it’s going to be as crazy as these chapters, I am in for a TREAT and I can’t WAIT!
