To celebrate Chainsaw Man coming out in October, I'm reading three of the writer, Fujimoto's, one-shot manga, and the first is the most recent: "Just Listen to the Song!"

This one chapter could have been the pilot for its own series! It went to some unexpected places and the bittersweet ending has me immediately excited to read the other mangaka's works! I just wish this was longer

Good start with this short and sweet one-shot which is actually a special collab with Toda, but the artwork resembles Fujimoto’s which may or may not be a coincidence. Toda’s breakout work is “To Strip The Flesh” and that is available in a single volume - haven’t got the chance to read it yet so unsure about the art there 😁 This, however, was short but enjoyable and impactful. I am particularly excited about your “Goodbye Eri” reaction and your review of “Look Back” as they are both are very solid works. And of course, I am looking forward to your Fire Punch reactions, whenever they come.

Very excited to see your reaction and discussions of Fujimoto's works. And "Fire Punch" is definitely the #1 of his works in the sense of the amount of discussion needed. Really look forward to your thoughts of it!

Ooooohhhhh, that explains a lot -- I was confused because it didn't list an alternate artist for Goodbye, Eri, but it makes sense that THAT was Fujimoto's art. I guess maybe Fujimoto was busy prepping their return to CSM and needed/wanted to let Toda do it? Their art style is VERY similar and Toda's work sounds....interesting, hahaha! But thank you for the kind words and comment! Goodbye, Eri was SO GOOD and I really enjoyed Look Back -- I'm hyped for CSM and for Fire Punch after that! :)

That is so exciting! Yessss, once CSM's season is finished, I will need to read Fire Punch, it sounds like, because I've really been enjoying their work! Thanks for the comment! :D

As it's already been mentioned, this one-shot is a collab between Fujimoto and Toda, who is a friend and former assistant of Fujimoto's and also has published their own work, the most notable one being "To Strip The Flesh". I won't say anything about it, in case you don't want any spoilers, including any type of summary, but it's pretty great. I definitely recommend checking it out, even without a reaction. And Toda's usual art style is actually different, but I assume Fujimoto requested it because he didn't have enough time to do the art as well, and considering Toda worked previously on Fire Punch as an assistant, it's quite easy for them to replicate Fujimoto's style. I'm looking forward to your Goodbye, Eri reaction! And, while I don't want to overhype Fujimoto's works, I genuinely believe you'll absolutely love all of them! I'm especially excited about Fire Punch (I've talked about it in the discord server, I'm moon by the way) because there aren't many people who have reacted to it; I literally only found one guy who gave the story the time and patience it deserves. Aside from that, it's just a very good series for a reaction in my opinion, and quite entertaining to witness for people who've already gone through that journey. And I think you'd be a perfect fit for the story with the amount of attention and great insight you always have. I can't wait for when that time comes!

Ooohhh, I'm excited; I'll have to add "The Strip the Flesh" to my list! That's really cool that Toda worked as an assistant on Fire Punch, too! You can see how the styles are similar, here! Thank you for the kind words and comment! I am really excited about Fire Punch! So far, I've really enjoyed Fujimoto's works!! I'll be excited to get into more of them!
